The Mixed Doubles Curling tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina will kick off the Olympic action starting on February 4, with the medals set to be decided by February 10. This event has swiftly become one of the most talked-about competitions at these Olympic Games. The field features 10 nations, including the defending gold medalists from Italy, traditional powers like Canada and Sweden, and a Great Britain team led by two of the sport’s most experienced curlers. Here, I break down the event and give you my Olympic mixed doubles curling prediction for Milan-Cortina in 2026.
Below are the most recent outright odds for winning the gold medal in Mixed Doubles Curling at the 2026 Winter Olympics:
These odds suggest that Italy is the clear favorite to repeat as Olympic gold medalists, with Great Britain and the United States also drawing considerable betting interest. Canada and Sweden round out the list of contenders with respectable prices, while teams like Estonia and Norway offer more speculative appeal for those seeking higher payouts.
The most interesting narrative entering the Mixed Doubles Curling event is the return of Italy’s Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner, who captured the Olympic title in 2022 and then went unbeaten on their way to the 2025 World Championship. Their form against top international competition and the boost of competing on home ice make them the team to beat. The emotional weight of performing in front of a supportive Italian crowd in Cortina d’Ampezzo cannot be understated, though that could come with some significant pressure to win the gold as well.
Another storyline of interest revolves around Great Britain’s duo of Bruce Mouat and Jennifer Dodds. Britain has experienced curling success but has yet to secure Olympic gold in mixed doubles. With Mouat a standout performer on the world stage and Dodds bringing plenty of experience, this pairing has the potential to push Italy and possibly take advantage if the favorites falter. Their world championship credentials position them as a formidable challenger to the Italians.
The United States entry, featuring Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse, has drawn attention as a dark horse. While the U.S. pair is not favored to win outright, their consistency on tour and strong match play capabilities make them a candidate to surge into the medal rounds if they find momentum early. Canada’s team, led by Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant, enters with high expectations as well but carries the underdog tag behind the top three nations.
Here is a closer look at the most likely medal contenders in this event based on recent performances, player experience, and current odds.
Pick: Italy to win gold ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5
Italy’s Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner present a compelling case to repeat as Olympic gold medalists in the Mixed Doubles Curling competition. Their unbeaten run at both the 2022 Olympics and 2025 World Championships demonstrates a level of dominance rarely seen in this format of the sport. Competing on home ice at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium adds another advantage that can make a tangible difference, particularly in a sport where focus and crowd energy can influence momentum.
From a betting perspective, Italy’s favorite status at +100 suggests solid value when balanced against their track record and the psychological boost of the home crowd support. Great Britain’s team is arguably Italy’s closest challenger, but their odds point toward a less likely breakthrough compared with the reigning champions. I will go with the Italians to repeat and to send the home crowd into a rapture on the curling sheets.
