The men’s dual moguls event at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina is a fresh challenge for competitors in freestyle skiing. Slated for February 15, this head-to-head competition will be the first time dual moguls appears on the Olympic stage. Instead of the traditional timed run, athletes will face off in brackets, skiing side-by-side through bump fields and executing aerial tricks before judges decide the winners of each duel. The dual format amplifies pressure and rewards both speed and technical proficiency. Before the action begins in Italy, you will find my men's dual moguls prediction below.
Below are the latest men’s dual moguls betting odds leading into the Olympic competition:
One of the major storylines heading into this Olympic debut is the presence of Canada’s Mikaël Kingsbury, widely regarded as the greatest moguls skier of all time. His legend stems from previous Olympic medals in moguls and an exceptional résumé on the World Cup circuit. Though dual moguls is a new discipline, Kingsbury’s experience, competitive savvy, and history of podium finishes place him squarely as a favorite.
Competing against him is Julien Viel, who secured victory in the only dual moguls World Cup stop of the season and leads the early World Cup discipline standings. His World Cup win is particularly noteworthy because it provides evidence that he can convert his skills in bracket racing, where the pressure and format differ from traditional moguls.
Japan’s Ikuma Horishima has also been a standout competitor. He finished high in the dual moguls World Cup and boasts strong performances in individual moguls qualifiers at these Games. Horishima’s blend of speed and jump quality makes him a threat capable of unsettling the short odds on Kingsbury and Viel.
Beyond the top three, there are interesting narratives around skiers like Sweden’s Walter Wallberg, who brings strong moguls credentials, and the U.S. contender Nick Page, who has shown consistent results in international competition. Australian veteran Matt Graham adds more depth to the field, and dark-horse plays like Benjamin Cavet may be worth watchlist attention for bettors seeking value.
The novelty of the dual moguls format at the Olympics adds further intrigue. The head-to-head elimination rounds often lead to upsets and momentum swings as athletes react to their competitors’ lines and pace. Sudden outcomes in knock-out sports can mean pricing swings and strategic in-play bets as the bracket unfolds.
Pick: Mikaël Kingsbury ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5
Backing Mikaël Kingsbury for gold in the men’s dual moguls event is rooted in his unparalleled experience and sustained excellence across moguls disciplines. Even though dual moguls is a new addition to the Olympics and brings its own tactics to consider, Kingsbury’s record speaks for itself. He has multiple Olympic medals, including gold, and has shown the ability to outperform his moguls competition on a regular basis. I'll take Kingsbury to get the win to make up for settling for silver in the traditional moguls via tiebreaker.
