Funz Casino Review (2026): High RTP Slots, But Only Gift Card Prizes?
Updated August 18, 2026
Updated August 18, 2026
Funz is one of the newer social casinos to launch in the U.S., and in case you’re wondering, it’s completely separate from similarly named sites like FunzCity and Funzpoints.
I created an account at Funz Casino and tested its games, bonuses, prize redemption system, customer support, and more. In this review, I’ll break down everything I found, compare it to other sweepstakes casinos I’ve played at, and help you decide whether it’s actually worth trying.

"There are a few things to like about Funz Casino. Its 5 SC sign-up bonus is more than what most social casinos offer, and most of the slot games are set to their highest RTP configurations, which means better long-term odds for players.
That said, overall, I found more negatives than positives.
The game library being poorly organized, gift card redemptions starting at a very high 100 SC minimum, limited ongoing promotions once you’re signed up, and some concerning player feedback online are enough to make me consider other social casinos instead."

Pros
Cons
Funz Casino uses a dual-currency system and a sweepstakes model, which is pretty standard for social casinos in the USA.
When you play, you’ll use either Gold Coins (GC) or Sweeps Coins (SC).
You can switch (or "toggle") back and forth between GC and SC gameplay whenever you want from the top of the screen. The coin type highlighted on your account is the one currently being used.
Funz is technically a "free-to-play" site because there are several ways to get free coins through bonuses and promotions (more on that in the next section).
That said, you’ll always have the option to purchase Gold Coin packages, which usually include bonus Sweeps Coins (1 SC for every $1 spent).

🏷 First Purchase Bonus: | 450K GC + 75 SC for $39.99 (Best Value) |

Funz Casino gives new players a no-deposit bonus of 150,000 Gold Coins and 5 Sweeps Coins just for signing up. That’s a little better than what most competitors offer, since most social casino no-deposit bonuses tend to fall in the 2-3 SC range.
The bonus is advertised on the website's homepage (shown in the image below), and when I created my account for this review, the free coins were added to my balance immediately after registration.
As for a traditional “first-purchase bonus,” I couldn’t find one specifically labeled that way.
Instead, Funz had several limited-time “seasonal offers” available during testing. Since this review was originally written around Mother’s Day, the discounted packages had names to match that theme (like Ultimate Queen, Mega Love, Sweet Surprise, and Treat Her).
All of these offered significantly more Sweeps Coins than the standard bundles you can purchase any time. The best overall value I found was the $39.99 package with 450,000 GC and 75 free SC included, which works out to roughly 87.5% extra SC compared to the usual rate.
That said, the $9.99 package with 1 million GC and 150 free SC was a close second and actually included the highest amount of bonus SC overall. These seasonal offers are optional, of course, and there’s a good chance the names, pricing, and bonus amounts will change throughout the year.
In addition to its welcome offers, Funz also has a few ongoing promotions for existing users. Here are the main opportunities I found during testing:
Overall, though, I was a little underwhelmed by the ongoing promotions at Funz.
While the daily bonus amount is better than average, there aren’t too many other ways to get free SC without making a purchase. There also doesn’t appear to be a refer-a-friend program or any kind of VIP/loyalty rewards system right now.
Before you can make a purchase or redeem prizes at Funz Casino, you’ll need to verify your identity.
To their credit, I tested the KYC process myself during this review and was approved almost instantly. The verification is handled through Veriff, and all I had to do was upload a few pictures of my driver’s license and take a selfie.
Once verified, you can hit the “Get Coins” button to choose from one of the following Gold Coin packages:
Price | Gold Coins (GC) | Sweeps Coins (SC) |
|---|---|---|
$0.99 | 1,000 GC | — |
$2.99 | 5,000 GC | — |
$4.99 | 17,500 GC | 5 SC |
$7.99 | 22,500 GC | — |
$9.99 | 35,000 GC | 10 SC |
$19.99 | 75,000 GC | 20 SC |
$49.99 | 200,000 GC | 50 SC |
$99.99 | 500,000 GC | 100 SC |
$299.99 | 2,000,000 GC | 300 SC |
Funz Casino accepts debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express), Apple Pay, Skrill, and ACH/electronic check for payments.
When it comes to prize redemptions, you’ll need at least 100 redeemable Sweeps Coins in your balance. “Redeemable” means the SC have been played through at least once (1x).
Once you reach that amount, your only redemption option is a Prizeout gift card. Funz Casino does not offer cash prize redemptions at the moment.
That’s pretty unusual compared to most other social casinos. Usually, sites will offer both cash prizes and gift cards, and sometimes just cash prizes by themselves. It’s not very common to see gift cards as the only redemption option.
The 100 SC minimum also feels pretty high for gift card redemptions specifically. For comparison, sites like Hello Millions and PlayFame both let players redeem gift cards starting at just 10 SC.
According to Funz’s FAQ section, redemption processing usually takes up to 7 business days, and you’ll receive email updates throughout the process.
That’s a bit longer than what I’ve seen from most other social casinos, especially when it comes to gift card redemptions. A lot of competing sites process gift cards within a few hours to a couple of business days, assuming your account is already verified.
Slots: | 1,251 |
Table Games: | 22 |
Software Providers: | BGaming, Booming Games, Dragon Gaming, ICONIC21, KA Gaming, NetGaming, Revolver Gaming |
Filtering Options: | For You, Favorites, Play Again, New Releases, Top Games, See All Games |
Our Top Picks: | • Bison Gold |
At my last count, Funz Casino offered more than 1,250 different sweepstakes slots. Most of the titles I saw came from providers like NetGaming, KA Gaming, and Revolver Gaming, although there were some games from BGaming, Booming Games, and a few other studios mixed in as well.
There’s a pretty wide variety of themes and gameplay features available, so I don’t think most slot players will run out of things to try anytime soon. My bigger issue was with the organization of the lobby itself.
At a lot of other social casinos, slots are grouped into sections like Hold & Win, Megaways, Jackpot Slots, Classic Slots, or something similar to make browsing a bit easier. But Funz doesn’t really do that.
Instead, the categories felt pretty generic during testing. Most of what I saw was stuff like “Top Games,” “Play Again” (recently played games), and “Favorites,” where you can save games by hearting them.
That said, one thing I genuinely liked was how easy the RTP information was to find. The theoretical RTP for each slot was listed directly in the game rules or info section, and from what I could tell, most of the games were set at the highest RTP versions available.
For example, I saw Super Duper by Booming Games listed at 97.00% RTP, while Harley QuickWin by Revolver Gaming was set at 96.43%, which are the highest RTP settings available for those games.
Funz Casino also has close to two dozen table games. I found many different versions of roulette variations during testing, including:
There were also a few other interesting table game options like Baccarat, HiLo, Teen Patti 20-20, Super Keno, Dragon Gate Poker, and Fortune Wheel.
One small issue is that there wasn’t a specific “Table Games” section, so you’ll need to scroll around the lobby or use the search bar to find them. Also worth noting, Funz doesn’t currently offer live dealer games, which is something a lot of other social casinos now include.
Funz Casino doesn’t currently have a dedicated mobile app available on the App Store or Google Play Store. That said, the website is optimized for mobile devices. During my review, I tested Funz on my iPhone, and overall, the experience was pretty straightforward. The design is simple and fairly basic.
All of the games are displayed directly on the homepage/lobby, and tapping the profile icon in the top corner opens a sidebar menu where you can access sections for purchases, prize redemptions, support, and other account settings.
Game loading times were also pretty fast during testing. I tried the site out on my MacBook to see what the desktop experience was like, and honestly, it felt almost identical to mobile aside from the layout being adjusted for a larger screen.
Overall, I don’t have too many complaints about the user experience. The biggest issue is probably the game organization, but I already covered most of that in the previous section.
Outside of that, it would still be nice to see Funz eventually release a dedicated mobile app, especially since more and more social casinos have started doing that lately. But for now, the mobile website works fine.
Funz operates legally in the U.S. using a promotional sweepstakes model, similar to most other social casinos.
That said, social casinos aren’t licensed or regulated by state gaming authorities in the same way real-money online casinos are, since they technically don’t offer traditional real-money gambling.
Because of that, I like to spend a little extra time researching how trustworthy a social casino site actually is before recommending it. Here’s what I found during my Funz Casino review.
🏢 Owner/Operator | Digi Matrix Inc. |
📍 Company Address | 131 Continental Drive, Suite 301, Newark, Delaware, 19713, USA |

Funz provides a link to its official sweepstakes rules at the bottom of the website. I read through them during my Funz Casino review, and overall, they’re pretty standard and similar to what you’ll find at most other social casinos.
Still, there were a few details worth pointing out:
Funz Casino is owned and operated by Digi Matrix Inc., according to information listed on the website. The company’s registered address is listed as 131 Continental Drive, Suite 301, Newark, Delaware, 19713, USA.
There isn’t a ton of public information available about Digi Matrix online. That said, the company does have its own official website, and it directly references Funz Casino there.
That might sound obvious, but you’d honestly be surprised how many social casino operators barely mention the sites they run or provide almost no information about their company at all.
Digi Matrix Inc. also operates My Betz Casino, another smaller social/sweepstakes casino site.
Funz Casino currently has a 2.6/5.0 rating on Trustpilot. To be fair, that score is based on only around a dozen different player reviews, which is a pretty small sample size overall.
Still, after reading through all the feedback myself, some of the complaints were definitely concerning. A lot of the negative reviews came from players claiming their accounts were deleted, restricted, or banned before they were able to cash out winnings.
There were also a few complaints about the game selection, a past increase in the minimum redemption threshold from 25 SC to 100 SC, and the fact that winnings can only be redeemed for gift cards (not cash prizes).
There are currently three ways to contact Funz Casino support:
There isn’t a live chat support option right now.
During my review, I tested the Submit a Request option and sent a question about the welcome bonus. I got a reply back a little under two hours later, which is actually pretty reasonable. That said, it would definitely be nice to see a live chat option added at some point for more immediate help.
Funz also has a Help Center with short FAQ articles covering topics like gameplay, purchases, prize redemptions, KYC verification, and technical issues. In most cases, it’s probably worth checking here first before contacting support directly.
Funz Casino is available in most U.S. states because, as mentioned earlier in this review, it uses a sweepstakes model instead of offering traditional real-money gambling.
Right now, you can play at Funz Casino in all U.S. states except:
According to Funz Casino’s terms and conditions, players who live in or are physically located in one of these states can’t participate in either standard play (with Gold Coins) or promotional play with Sweeps Coins.

As you can see, Funz Casino doesn’t exactly stand out against the competition… at least not in a good way.
Yes, it’s true that the no-deposit bonus is slightly better than average. Most social casinos offer somewhere around 2-3 free SC for signing up, while Funz gives new players 5 SC instead.
But there are also a few pretty significant downsides.
Funz doesn’t offer cash prize redemptions at all (every other social casino I’ve personally tested does), and the 100 SC minimum for gift card redemptions is the highest I’ve seen from a sweepstakes casino so far. Most sites are closer to the 10-25 SC range for gift cards.
It also lacks some of the features that a lot of the top sweepstakes casinos now offer, like a dedicated mobile app or live dealer games.
Overall, there are definitely a few things to like about Funz Casino, but compared to some of the bigger names in the space, it still feels a little behind right now.
Is Funz Casino Legit?
Yes, Funz Casino is a legitimate sweepstakes casino that operates legally in most U.S. states using a dual-currency sweepstakes model. During my review, I was able to sign up, verify my identity, and access the platform without any major issues. Still, some of the player complaints on Trustpilot about account restrictions and redemption problems were a little concerning.
Does Funz Casino Pay Real Money?
No, Funz Casino does not offer traditional real-money gambling. Instead, players use Sweeps Coins for a chance to win redeemable prizes through the site’s sweepstakes system. One important thing to know, though, is that Funz currently only offers Prizeout gift card redemptions, not cash payouts.
Is Funz Casino the Same as FunzCity or Funzpoints?
No, Funz Casino is completely separate from both FunzCity and Funzpoints. They’re different social casino platforms with different ownership, promotions, games, and rules. The similar names just make them easy to confuse.
How Many Games Does Funz Casino Have?
At the time of my review, Funz Casino offered nearly 1,300 games, mostly slots. There were also a small number of table games available, though no live dealer options.
