Where is Funrize Casino legal? We've been getting that question quite a bit lately, and today, we're going to give you some answers. In this article, we'll provide a full list of U.S. states where Funrize is legal and available. This way, you'll know if you're allowed to sign up, play games, and win real cash prizes from wherever you live.
Yes! Funrize Casino is legal in most U.S. states. It works a little bit differently than regular online casinos because it uses a sweepstakes model. Instead of gambling with real money, you play with virtual tokens like Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries — and you can still win real cash prizes.
The best part is there’s always a free way to join in. You can log in daily for free rewards or even request entries by mail, so you don’t have to spend any money to play or win. That’s what keeps it within the legal sweepstakes guidelines in most states.
Because of this setup, Funrize is actually available in a lot more places than most of the big-name online casinos from brands like DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, and Caesars.
Right now, Funrize Casino is legal and available in 40 of the 50 U.S. states. Here's a full list so you can see if you're currently living in a place where you're allowed to play. If you’re in one of the states marked with a "✅," you’re good to go. If you see an "❌," sorry that means Funrize isn’t currently available there.

Our team at ATS.io tries to keep this list updated/accurate at all times, but we're not perfect. So, if you want to double-check our work, I'd recommend checking out Funrize's official Terms of Use. I usually just Ctrl+F the phrase "restricted states," and it takes you right to their list.
As of now, Funrize Casino isn’t available in the following U.S. states:
These states have either passed laws or taken regulatory positions that make it harder for sweepstakes-based or social casinos to operate legally. In response, Funrize has made the decision to pull out of those markets.
The goal isn’t to limit access but to operate responsibly. By avoiding states that don’t support the sweepstakes model, Funrize helps ensure that players in the rest of the country can keep playing safely and legally.
Do you live in an eligible state? Want to give Funrize Casino a try? Here’s how you can sign up and get started:
1️⃣ Go to Funrize.com on your phone, tablet, or any device you prefer.
2️⃣ Create an account by entering your email and picking a password. You can also sign up using Google, Facebook, or Apple if that’s easier.
3️⃣ Agree to the Terms of Use and check the box confirming you’re 18 or older and not in a restricted state.
4️⃣ Claim your free Tournament Coins and Promotional Entries with the Funrize no deposit bonus.
5️⃣ Start playing — they’ve got slots, fishing games, and a bunch of other casino-style options to choose from.
6️⃣ If you rack up enough Promotional Entries, you’ll be able to redeem them for real cash prizes or gift cards.
If you’re living in one of the many states where Funrize is currently available, you’re good to go!
Since it uses a sweepstakes model and doesn't offer any traditional online gambling, Funrize is able to legally operate in most of the USA… which makes it a great option for players who don’t have access to real-money casinos where they live.
Plus, Funrize is 100% free to join. There are plenty of ways to play games without spending money, and you can still potentially win real cash prizes. Not bad, huh?

Where is Funrize Legal?
Funrize is legal in most U.S. states thanks to its sweepstakes model. The only exceptions are Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming. If you live anywhere else, you should be good to sign up and start playing.
Is Funrize Casino Legit or Not?
Yeah, Funrize is totally legit. It’s not a traditional online casino — it runs as a sweepstakes site, which means it follows a different (but legal) set of rules that let people across the country play games and potentially win real prizes.
Can You Win Real Money on Funrize?
You can. While you’re not betting real money, the Promotional Entries you use can still lead to real cash or gift card prizes if you win.
Is Funrize Legal in Nevada?
Not at the moment. Nevada has specific laws that make it tough for sweepstakes-style casinos to operate, so Funrize has chosen to stay out (at least for now) to avoid any legal gray areas.
