Big Pirate Social Casino Review (2026)
Updated August 18, 2026
Updated August 18, 2026
Big Pirate is a pirate-themed social casino that launched in late 2025 and does a few things differently than most sweepstakes sites.
Along with Gold Coins, the platform uses virtual currencies like Diamonds, Rum, and Claw Machine Credits. It also offers one of the largest game libraries I've ever seen at a social casino, with more than 3,400 games from over 50 software providers.
In this review, I'll break down what you can expect from Big Pirate Casino and help you decide whether it's worth checking out.

Author's Take: Is Big Pirate a Social Casino That's Worth Trying?
"There's a lot to like about Big Pirate Casino, from its unique island-building game where players can build islands and raid other players to its reasonable 50 Diamond redemption minimum and massive game library.
That said, I'm still a bit cautious because the site is relatively new and player feedback has been mixed so far."

Pros
Cons
Big Pirate follows the same basic model as most social casinos in the U.S. The website offers free casino-style games, and no purchase is necessary to play.
The main difference is the virtual currency system. Like most social casinos, Big Pirate uses Gold Coins (GC) as its play-for-fun currency. However, instead of Sweeps Coins (SC), it uses Diamonds, which can be redeemed for cash prizes at a rate of 1 Diamond = $1.
Big Pirate Casino also uses two other virtual currencies: Rum and Claw Machine Credits.
I'll be honest: this four-currency system was a little overwhelming at first. But after about a day of playing at Big Pirate, it all started to make sense, and I came to appreciate that the site was actually trying something different from the other 100+ social casinos I've tested and reviewed.

Big Pirate Casino currently offers a no-deposit bonus along with an optional first-purchase bonus for new players.
When I signed up, I received 20,000 Gold Coins, 2 Diamonds, and 2 Rum completely free. There was no promo code to enter, and I didn't have to make a purchase to claim the bonus.
Big Pirate also offered me a discounted first-purchase package with 270,000 Gold Coins, 27 Diamonds, 1 Rum, and 1 Claw Machine Credit for $9.99.
I was also shown another $9.99 welcome offer that included 250,000 Gold Coins, 25 Diamonds, 1 Rum, and 1 Claw Machine Credit. I thought that was a little strange since it cost the same amount but just came with fewer GC and SC than the other offer.
That said, the first-purchase bonus is completely optional. If you'd rather not spend any money, you can simply stick with the free coins and virtual currencies included in the no-deposit bonus.
Besides the welcome offers, Big Pirate social casino has several other promotions that existing players can take advantage of. Here are some of the main ones I came across:

Mastercard | Yes ✅ | Yes ✅ |
Apple Pay | Yes ✅ | No ❌ |
Google Pay | Yes ✅ | No ❌ |

You can buy Gold Coins at Big Pirate Casino at any time through the site's Coin Store.
At the time of writing, Big Pirate offers 9 standard GC bundles (see the table below). Most of them include roughly 10,000 Gold Coins and 1 Diamond for every $1 spent, along with additional Rum and Claw Machine Credits at certain price points.
Price | Gold Coins (GC) | Diamonds (SC) | Rum | Claw Machine Credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|

$4.99 | 50,000 | 5 | None | None |

Big Pirate currently supports debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Skrill. Also worth noting, during my testing, all of the payment methods I checked showed 0% fees on transactions.
You can redeem Diamonds for cash prizes at Big Pirate Casino, but you'll need to meet a few requirements first:
Once you've checked all three of these boxes, you can request a redemption. Cash prizes are paid out to the same payment method used for your coin purchase whenever possible. Available redemption methods include push-to-debit, Skrill, and bank transfers.
One thing I don't particularly like is Big Pirate's $2,500 daily redemption limit. That's probably not an issue for most players, but it does feel a bit low compared to some competitors. For example, Shuffle.us has a daily redemption limit of $100,000.
I also wasn't thrilled to see that redemption limits and processing times depend on your VIP level:
VIP Tier | Daily Cap | Monthly Cap | Processing Time |
|---|---|---|---|
Deckhand | $2,500 | $30,000 | Within 72 Hours |
Matey | $2,500 | $33,000 | Within 72 Hours |
Buccaneer | $2,500 | $39,000 | Within 48 Hours |
Captain | $2,500 | $48,000 | Within 24 Hours |
Admiral | $2,500 | $60,000 | Within 24 Hours |
Personally, I'd rather see all players get the same redemption speeds regardless of VIP status. Still, the 72-hour processing time for players in the bottom two VIP tiers isn't too bad. It's actually faster than what I've seen at a lot of other social casinos.

I wasn't surprised to see that slots make up the bulk of Big Pirate's game library, but I was a bit shocked by just how many there were. I counted nearly 3,300 different slot games on the desktop site.
Big Pirate has a dedicated "Slots" section with all of its titles listed out, along with categories like New, Popular, Exclusive, Bonus Buys, and more.
There was also a separate Jackpots section featuring roughly 200 games. Some of the titles I came across included 3 Crazy Tikis, Buffalo Rampage: Hold & Hit, and Zombie Apocalypse.
One thing I liked is that Big Pirate displays RTP information for its slot games. You can usually find it in the slot's rules or info section after opening up the game.
However, I did notice that a lot of the slots were running at lower RTP settings than the versions of those games you'll commonly find at other online casinos. For example, I found Royalty of Olympus Extreme by Barbara Bang at 92.00% RTP (versus 96.00%) and Le Fisherman by Hacksaw Gaming at 92.34% RTP (versus 96.33%).
Unfortunately, this is quite common in the social casino industry. It's not necessarily a dealbreaker for me, but it's definitely something I think players should be aware of upfront.
Big Pirate has a surprisingly large live dealer section. I counted more than 120 different options while exploring the site.
There are multiple versions of blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, craps, and other table games, along with live game shows like Monopoly Big Baller, Ice Fishing, Dream Catcher, and Marble Race.
Most of the games I saw came from providers like Evolution and ICONIC21.
Big Pirate Casino also has an "Instant Games" section with a mix of fast-paced games and other specialty options.
Some of the games I came across included Plinko titles like Olympus Plinko and Plinko Rush, crash games such as Speed Crash and Stock Trade, and shooting games like Dragon Shooter and Boar Rush Jackpot.
There were also a handful of RNG table games mixed in, including video poker, baccarat, dice, and a few others.
Finally, Big Pirate has a Scratch & Bingo Games section with a little over half a dozen options. Every game I found in this category was a scratch card, including Chaos Crew Scratch, Snow Scratcher, and The Perfect Scratch.
I was able to find a few bingo games using the search bar, though, such as Wild Bingo, Bingo Destiny, and Bingo Planets.
Big Pirate Casino doesn't currently have a dedicated mobile app for iOS or Android devices. That said, its website worked well on my iPhone during testing.
I had access to all of the same games and features that were available on the desktop site, and most pages loaded fairly quickly. I also liked that my Gold Coin, Diamond, and Rum balances were always visible at the top of the screen.
My biggest complaint is that the site felt a little cluttered at first, and the navigation took some time to get used to. The main lobby only has two tabs to choose from (Social Casino and Social Live Casino), which can feel a bit overwhelming when you're first trying to figure out where everything is.
You can find more options by opening the hamburger menu on the left side of the screen. That's where you'll find additional game categories, along with sections for buying Gold Coins, redeeming prizes, and accessing the Help Center.
Overall, my experience was solid, but I definitely found Big Pirate easier to navigate on desktop than mobile.
Big Pirate Casino operates legally as a social casino using a promotional sweepstakes model. But that doesn't automatically mean it's trustworthy.
To get a better idea of whether the site is legitimate, I dug into its sweepstakes rules, ownership information, player reviews, security features, and responsible gaming tools. Here's a breakdown of what I found.
🏢 Owner/Operator | Rafflefy Limited |

Big Pirate Casino has a link to its official sweepstakes rules in the footer of its website, which is always a good sign and something I look for during my reviews.
I read through the rules myself, and most of the terms were pretty similar to what you'd find at other social and sweepstakes casinos. A few things did stand out, though:
Overall, I didn't find anything particularly unusual or concerning. If you've read the sweepstakes rules at other social casinos before, most of Big Pirate's terms will look pretty familiar.
Big Pirate Casino is owned and operated by Rafflefy Limited, a company based in Cyprus. From what I was able to find, there isn't much public information available about the company.
Big Pirate also appears to be Rafflefy's first social casino, having launched in December 2025. That's not necessarily a red flag, but I generally prefer sites backed by companies with a longer track record and a few established sister sites.
Still, this alone isn't a dealbreaker for me.
This is where things start to get a little more concerning.
At the time of writing, Big Pirate Casino had a 2.6/5.0 TrustScore on Trustpilot based on feedback from more than 100 players. That's still a fairly small sample size, but a lot of the complaints followed the same themes.
The biggest issues I saw were players reporting redemption delays that exceeded the 72-hour timeline mentioned in Big Pirate's sweepstakes rules, along with complaints about accounts being restricted, limited, or closed without much explanation.
It was good to see that Big Pirate has responded to nearly 90% of its negative Trustpilot reviews. However, I wasn't a fan of the fact that the average response time was around a month.
I'd definitely recommend spending a few minutes reading through the reviews yourself before signing up. For me, the Trustpilot feedback was probably the biggest negative I came across while testing and researching Big Pirate Casino.

I'll be honest: I was pretty impressed with my customer support experience on Big Pirate Casino.
The easiest way to get help is through the live chat feature, which is available in the Help Center (spelled "Help Centre" on the site). I tested it out during my review and was connected with an agent named Niky in about 10-15 seconds.
I asked a few questions about redemptions and other site features. While it took a few minutes for her to look up some of the answers, I was able to get the information I needed without much waiting around.
If you'd rather not use live chat, Big Pirate also offers email support through support@bigpirate.com. You can also find answers to common questions about bonuses, purchases, redemptions, account verification, and other topics in the site's Help Center.
The Cyprus-based social casino currently only accepts players from the United States. However, Big Pirate is not available in the following U.S. states:
Players must also be at least 21 years old to create an account, play games, and redeem prizes on the site.
Here's a quick overview of how Big Pirate stacks up against the competition in a few key areas.

Overall, I like what Big Pirate Casino brings to the table. The site does a few things differently than most social casinos, including its use of virtual currencies like Rum and Claw Machine Credits and its island-building, adventure mini-game.
It also has some clear strengths. The game library is one of the largest I've come across, and the 50 Diamond ($50) redemption minimum is lower than what you'll find at many competing sites.
That said, Big Pirate is still a relatively new social casino. I'd be a little cautious until it has more time to prove itself and earn the trust of players.
