Chelsea welcome Newcastle United to West London on Saturday still smarting from a heavy defeat in Paris. The Blues are pushing hard for Champions League qualification, while the Magpies arrive in inconsistent form but carrying enough quality going forward to cause problems. This is a game with goals written all over it, and the betting markets offer genuine value on both sides of the card.
Chelsea to Win (-130) and Both Teams to Score (-145) Parlay ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5
The Blues sit 5th in the Premier League table with 45 points from 27 matches, on a record of 12 wins, 9 draws, and 6 defeats. They have scored 48 goals this season, the 4th highest in the division, and carry a goal difference of +17. Their recent form includes a 4-1 win at Aston Villa and a 2-1 victory at Spurs, though a 2-3 home defeat to Everton last time out will be a concern for Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea have conceded in each of their last 9 meetings with Newcastle across all competitions, which is a significant pointer for the goals markets. Key injury doubts include Estevao and Levi Colwill who are back running but likely not available while Cole Palmer and Reece James continue to have their minutes managed as they deal with minor injuries. Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, and Alejandro Garnacho are expected to start and provide the creative firepower in attack, with Joao Pedro leading the line.
Newcastle arrive in 12th place with 36 points and a record of 10 wins, 6 draws, and 11 defeats. They have conceded 39 goals this season, one of the higher tallies in the top half of the table. Their last league result was a 2-1 home win over Manchester United, coming from behind and finishing with 10 men, which illustrated the character in Eddie Howe's squad.
However, Newcastle have lost 5 of their last 7 Premier League matches prior to that win, and their away record reads just 3 wins from 14 games. Nick Woltemade is a doubt through illness, while Tino Livramento is nearing a return but this game likely comes too soon. Bruno Guimaraes remains sidelined with a hamstring issue, with Lewis Miley and Fabian Schar also missing out. Newcastle have scored in 12 consecutive matches across all competitions, and they have conceded in all 13 of those games too, making them a reliable contributor to end-to-end fixtures.
The head-to-head record is heavily in Chelsea's favor. In 60 all-time meetings, Chelsea have won 33, Newcastle 15, and 12 have ended in draws. The average goals per game across those meetings sits at 2.52. Their most recent encounter ended 2-2 at Stamford Bridge in December 2025, and Chelsea have conceded at least once in their last 9 meetings with Newcastle in all competitions.
Chelsea are the right side to back at home, but Newcastle are not a team that simply sits back and absorbs pressure. They have scored in every game for over a month, and Chelsea's defensive record against this opponent suggests the Magpies will find the net here too. Expect an open, entertaining match with Chelsea edging it through their superior attacking quality. The parlay combining Chelsea to win with both teams scoring at around +110 is the sharpest bet on the board for this fixture.
