Updated January 28, 2026
Utah travels to Raleigh on Thursday night to take on the Carolina Hurricanes. Utah has surged through January and finds itself in fourth place in the Central Division, while Carolina comes into this game in first place in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams have won four of their last five games, but only one team will keep its winning ways going here. Before this contest begins, keep reading for my Mammoth vs Hurricanes prediction in the NHL.
Pick: Mammoth +1.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 4/5
Matchup: | Utah Mammoth vs Carolina Hurricanes |
Date & Time: | Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET |
Venue: | Lenovo Center, Raleigh, NC |
Broadcast: | ESPN+ |
Score Projection: Utah 2 – Carolina 3
Win Probability: Utah 42%, Carolina 58%
The Hurricanes should be able to win this game on home ice. But I recommend taking the Mammoth to cover the puckline as an underdog here. Utah is playing just as well as Carolina lately and they should keep this game close, even if Carolina should ultimately get another win in front of their home crowd in this one.
