Tonight marks the first meeting of the season between the Rangers and Jets, two teams looking to finish a disappointing 2025-26 campaign on a high note. Both teams sit at the bottom of their respective divisions. The Rangers (58 pts) have seen a late-season surge from Alexis Lafreniere, who recently netted a hat trick, while the Jets (62 pts) continue to be led by veteran Mark Scheifele. With both teams likely missing the postseason, tonight is about pride and individual milestones. Find more betting picks on our NHL page.
Confidence: ★★★☆☆
While the Jets are the favorites, the Rangers are playing with "house money" and zero pressure. Winnipeg is missing key defensive pieces like Neal Pionk and Colin Miller, which leaves their blue line vulnerable to the Rangers' current scoring surge.
With two Vezina-caliber goalkeepers (Shesterkin vs Hellebuyck) going head-to-head, this could prove to be a tight game. Meanwhile the Rangers have scored three or more goals in the last five games.
Considering how well the Rangers are playing now, there is value in the Rangers ML at +133.
