The Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes will face off on Friday in a key National Hockey League matchup that could shape the pecking order in the Eastern Conference. With Carolina holding a strong record atop the Metropolitan Division and Florida jockeying for position in the Atlantic Division, this encounter at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh is expected to deliver plenty of intensity. Here, I break it all down and give you my Panthers vs Hurricanes prediction.
Pick: | Hurricanes ML ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 4/5 |
The Hurricanes arrive with a 28-15-4 record and have recently demonstrated strong play at home, winning three consecutive home games before taking two straight losses on the road to the Red Wings and Blues. Carolina has been competitive across most of its outings and has offensive firepower that averages just over 3 goals per game.
The Panthers are 24-18-3 and riding a two-game winning streak following a 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres, showcasing their ability to grind out results even with a slightly tighter margin. Florida’s recent wins have both come by one goal each and they will try to get a third straight win here.
Carolina’s Brandon Bussi has been a standout between the pipes with a record of 16-3-1 so far this season. His performance has been a key anchor for the Hurricanes, and he has shown he can handle a busy evening when the pressure is on. Florida is expected to counter with veteran Sergei Bobrovsky, who has been steady but less dominant this season compared to his career averages. Goalie performance could be the difference in this contest given the offensive talent on both sides.
Score Projection: Hurricanes 4 – Panthers 3 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Hurricanes 55%, Panthers 45% ATS PRO
The Panthers have dominated the season series against the Hurricanes so far this season. But I'm going with the Canes to get the job done at home in this game. Carolina enters this matchup with a home record of 16-8-1 this year and they should end their regular-season series against Florida with a victory in Raleigh tonight.
