On Tuesday, the Detroit Red Wings will host the Dallas Stars at Little Caesars Arena in one of the more engaging NHL games of the holiday week. Dallas arrives with one of the best records in the league at 25-7-5, while Detroit has compiled a solid 21-13-3 record this season. Both clubs have won four of their last five games and will try to continue their winning ways here. Before the opening face-off from Detroit, you will find my Stars vs Red Wings prediction right here.

The Stars have been among the NHL’s best all season, boasting a 25-7-5 record and an 8-2 run in their last 10 outings. Their most recent result was a convincing 5-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, where they pulled away in the third period behind strong offensive execution and solid goaltending. Their ability to maintain consistency on the road has been a major factor, as they are 13-2-4 away from home. Dallas will look for a fifth straight win here.
Detroit comes in with momentum of its own, having just completed a home-and-home sweep of the Washington Capitals with a 3-2 overtime victory. The Red Wings have won two straight games and four of their last five matchups and will attempt to build on that in this contest.
Jake Oettinger and John Gibson are expected to start this game in net on both sides. Oettinger has been rock solid so far this year, entering this game with a 2.50 GAA, while Gibson's GAA is just over 3.00 for the year. The Stars have a slight edge in the goaltending department going into this matchup from Little Caesars Arena.
Skating on all cylinders for the Stars is Mikko Rantanen, who leads Dallas with 14 goals and 35 assists. Jason Robertson has added seven goals and two assists across his last 10 games, while Esa Lindell has created offense from the back in recent outings. Detroit’s Lucas Raymond is the cornerstone of their offense with 11 goals and 27 assists, and Alex DeBrincat has 20 goals and 20 assists. Both will be important to the success of the Wings.
Player | Prop |

Mikko Rantanen (DAL) | Over 1.5 Points |
Alex DeBrincat (DET) | Over 0.5 Points |
Score Projection: Dallas 4 – Detroit 3
Win Probability: Dallas 58%, Detroit 42%
I'm going to take the Dallas Stars to win on the road over the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. Dallas has been on fire offensively of late, scoring 22 goals over their last four games. Expect the Stars to continue to find scoring from their nucleus and for the Stars to get a fifth win in a row going into the holiday break.
