The Boston Bruins will host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night at TD Garden. Boston enters with momentum after winning its first two games, while Buffalo looks to rebound from a tough opening game. Before the puck drops at this game at TD Garden, continue reading to get my Sabres vs Bruins prediction for this contest.
Odds | Moneyline | Puckline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
Buffalo Sabres | -105 | +1.5 (-275) | Over 6.5 (+110) |
Boston Bruins | –115 | –1.5 (+200) | Under 6.5 (-130) |
Boston’s crease situation is solid. Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo are available and Swayman will be expected to start here. In the 3–1 win over Washington, Swayman made 35 saves and the penalty kill held firm to help him out. The Bruins also killed a 5-on-3 disadvantage successfully in that game. For Buffalo, Alex Lyon will feature in goal. He got lit up against the New York Rangers in the Sabres' opener and he will try to do more to keep his team in this contest.
Boston: David Pastrňák is already off to a strong start, logging a goal and three assists and anchoring Boston’s top line. Elias Lindholm has also contributed.
Buffalo: Tage Thompson remains a focal point of Buffalo’s offense. The Sabres also must get contributions from secondary forwards if they want to break through and get their first goals of the season in this matchup.
Player | Stat Type | Prop Projection |
|---|---|---|
David Pastraňák | Points | Over 1.5 |
Tage Thompson | Goals | Over 0.5 |
Score Projection: Buffalo 2 – Boston 4
Win Probability: Buffalo 35%, Boston 65%
I think that Boston will come out on top at home in this contest. The Bruins are off to a very nice start and I think they will continue it here thanks to the inspired early-season play of Pastrnak and the goaltending of Swayman.
