Updated January 20, 2026
The Boston Bruins head to Dallas on Tuesday night to take on the Stars in one of the more interesting games on the ice for the night. Boston has been playing well and enters this contest on a six-game winning streak, while Dallas sits as a favorite at home thanks to a strong overall record and offensive production. Here, I break down this inter-conference matchup on the ice and you will find my Bruins vs Stars prediction here.
Pick: | Stars ML ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 3/5 |
Boston arrives in Dallas with momentum. The Bruins have won six in a row heading into this game, with strong offensive showings and recent shutout performances. Boston’s latest wins include a 5‑2 victory over the Blackhawks where multiple players contributed, and a 3‑0 shutout of the Red Wings. Their scoring has come from stars like David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie, as well as lesser-known contributors. The Bruins offense has been averaging over 4 goals per game in recent weeks, giving them confidence as they hit the road. Boston’s defense has held its own lately, giving up two or fewer goals in five straight games.
Dallas has played well overall at home this season and is favored in this matchup. The Stars have lost three games in a row going into this matchup. Their home record reflects a team that competes hard in front of their home crowd, and they have key offensive leaders like Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston providing consistent production. Even though they are in the midst of a slump, Dallas’ goaltending and power play have been serviceable and given the depth of their lineup, they remain a contender in this spot.
Recent trends indicate Boston has had success historically against Dallas, winning the majority of recent head‑to‑head games and performing well on the road. However, current odds show Dallas as the favorite both on the moneyline and puckline.
Score Projection: Stars 4 – Bruins 3 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Stars 58%, Bruins 42% ATS PRO
Dallas is my pick in this matchup due to home-ice advantage, their consistent offense, and the fact that the Bruins have been so mediocre on the road this year. Expect the Stars to hand the Bruins their first loss in a while and for Dallas to make an impressive statement as they look to inch closer to getting back into second place in the Central Division.
