NFC North rivals will meet on Saturday when the Green Bay Packers travel to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears in Week 16 of the NFL season. These teams are separated by a half-game in the NFC North and the winner of this matchup will be in first place in the division with two weeks left in the regular season. Before kickoff from Soldier Field, you can continue reading to get my analysis and my Packers vs Bears prediction.

There’s plenty to unpack heading into this rivalry game. The Bears are leading the NFC North with a 10-4 record. They are coming off a dominant 31-3 victory over the Cleveland Browns, winning four of their last five games. Their lone loss during that stretch came against this same Packers squad and Chicago will try to exact revenge to stay on top of the division going into Week 17.
The Packers (9-4-1) come into this one reeling slightly after a loss on the road to the Denver Broncos, a game that saw star pass rusher Micah Parsons suffer a season-ending torn ACL. The absence of Parsons is a huge blow to Green Bay’s pass rush and overall defensive ceiling. That loss dropped the Packers out of first place and placed added emphasis on this divisional contest for them. If Green Bay can complete a regular-season sweep of the Bears, they can get back to the top of the NFC North before Christmas.
Caleb Williams has taken major steps in his sophomore campaign, showing poise and the ability to make plays both in and out of the pocket. His mobility gives the Bears an added dimension to their offense, particularly in short-yardage and third-down scenarios.
The Packers’ Jordan Love has been efficient and turnover-averse for the most part this season, a factor that keeps Green Bay in most games. Love’s ability to make both high-percentage throws and throws down the field has been important for the Pack and will be important again here.
Score Projection: Packers 24 – Bears 27
Win Probability: Packers 44%, Bears 56%
This NFC North rivalry game feels destined to come down to the final possessions. I think that the Bears will be better in the key moments of this game than they were in the first matchup between these teams in Green Bay. I'll take the Bears to win on the moneyline at Soldier Field in a game that will have a huge impact on the playoff race in the NFC.
