The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints will go at it in Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season with a divisional matchup on Sunday at Caesars Superdome. This contest carries meaningful implications for the Panthers’ playoff hopes. Carolina enters off its bye week well‑positioned atop the NFC South with a 7‑6 record, while New Orleans has struggled to a 3‑10 record so far this season. Can the Panthers increase their lead atop the NFC South? Here, I make my Panthers vs Saints prediction from the Crescent City.

This NFC South clash carries huge playoff significance. Carolina’s 7‑6 record gives it a foothold in the division race, and a win here would strengthen its position late in the season. The Panthers already saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose at home to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football, opening the door for a win here to put Carolina a full game up in the division with three games left to play.
New Orleans is sitting at 3‑10 and has faced offensive struggles throughout the year. They pulled off a surprise win over Tampa Bay in their last outing. A previous meeting this season saw the Saints defeat the Panthers 17‑7, highlighting that New Orleans is far from an easy out in this matchup despite the difference in records between these two teams. Carolina’s bye week provides extra rest and preparation, an advantage that could show up on the field. But the Saints have the confidence of knowing they've already beaten Carolina.
Carolina’s offense is led by Bryce Young. Young has thrown for over 2,300 yards with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season. Young’s numbers are better than we had seen from him in previous seasons, though his performance against New Orleans earlier in the year was subpar with just 124 passing yards, an interception, and a fumble.
New Orleans continues with rookie quarterback Tyler Shough as its primary option. He has around 1,200 passing yards with a 5‑5 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Losing Alvin Kamara to a knee injury further limits New Orleans’ offense, but this is a great chance for Shough to get NFL experience.
Score Projection: Panthers 24 – Saints 17
Win Probability: Panthers 62%, Saints 38%
I'm going with the Carolina Panthers to win and cover the spread inside Caesars Superdome on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers will bounce back from their loss to the Saints earlier in the season, while the Carolina offense continues to trend in the right direction. I'll lay the points with the Panthers, who will end this week in sole possession of first place in the NFC South.
