The San Antonio Spurs will visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, with each team hoping to gain ground in the Western Conference standings. San Antonio sits near the top, while Memphis has struggled and is fighting to stay in the play-in conversation. Here, I break down this matchup between these Western Conference rivals and bring you my Spurs vs Grizzlies prediction for tonight.
Pick: | Spurs -6.5 |
Confidence: | 4/5 |
Pick: | Over 232.5 |
Confidence: | 4/5 |
San Antonio enters this game with a strong 25-10 record and has won its last four road games heading into this trip to Memphis. Their offensive balance and defensive discipline have kept them competitive, even while dealing with injuries to key contributors.
Victor Wembanyama, who averages 24.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, is listed as questionable after returning to practice following a left knee bone bruise suffered recently. His status will be a major factor for the Spurs’ ceiling in this matchup. Devin Vassell remains out with a groin issue, pushing additional responsibility onto players like De’Aaron Fox and Julian Champagnie, who has emerged as a reliable scorer off the bench. San Antonio’s trend of slow starts has been a talking point for coaches, with the team looking to improve its early level of energy in Memphis.
Memphis has struggled with injuries across its roster, affecting rotation depth and consistency. Ja Morant is questionable, and several rotation players like Vince Williams Jr., Cedric Coward, Ty Jerome, John Konchar, Scotty Pippen Jr., Brandon Clarke, and Zach Edey are either out or in uncertain condition. Jaren Jackson Jr. has been the Grizzlies’ most consistent performer, averaging 18.4 points per game, while Santi Aldama contributes on both ends of the floor. Memphis enters this game with four straight losses and will be eager to defend home court against one of the West’s stronger teams.
Player | Prop to Monitor |
|---|---|
Victor Wembanyama | Over 20.5 Points |
De’Aaron Fox | Over 21.5 Points |
Score Projection: Spurs 122 – Grizzlies 113
Win Probability: Spurs 62%, Grizzlies 38%
I'm leaning toward the Spurs in this contest from Memphis on Tuesday night. While the Spurs are banged up, no team has dealt with more injury adversity than the Grizzlies this year. Of the players available on both sides, the Spurs have the most consistent talent and should run away with this contest in the second half on the road.
