The Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies will meet in Thursday night in the NBA. Both of these teams are off to disappointing starts to their seasons in a very competitive Western Conference. But someone has to win tonight and we will try to determine which team that will be by making our Kings vs Grizzlies prediction below.
Our Kings vs Grizzlies Pick
Pick: Grizzlies –2.5
Confidence: 3/5
Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Sacramento Kings @ Memphis Grizzlies
- Date & Time: Thursday, November 20, 2025, 8:00 PM ET
- Venue: FedExForum, Memphis, Tennessee
- Broadcast: NBA League Pass
Key Storylines
- Grizzlies Banged Up: Memphis is shorthanded. Ja Morant is out for at least a couple of weeks with a right calf strain. Jaren Jackson Jr. is listed as day-to-day with a sprained ankle. Brandon Clarke remains on the shelf with a knee issue, and Javon Small is also out.
- Kings in Freefall: Sacramento has lost seven games in a row and sits at 3–12, putting pressure on young coach Doug Christie. Their poor defensive starts and uneven rotations are raising questions about their long-term ceiling. Even the players and coaches have been critical of their effort on the defensive end of the floor.
- High Stakes Even Early: While it's still early, both clubs need momentum badly. The Grizzlies are underperforming relative to expectations, and another loss could further erode morale. The Kings also had their sights set on the postseason this year and need to start winning games if they want to get anywhere close to the playoffs.

Final Thoughts
If you like cohesive team basketball, Kings vs Grizzlies is not going to be the game for you. Both of these rosters look so disjointed early in the season. But someone has to win this game and I think that the Grizzlies will be the team to do that at home. Expect the Grizzlies to take advantage of the defensive issues that the Kings are dealing with and for Memphis to get a win on their home floor even without their floor general Ja Morant.
