The Portland Trail Blazers head to Indianapolis on Wednesday night looking to build on a recent uptick in form, while the Indiana Pacers are trying to stop a prolonged slide. Portland has shown flashes of offensive efficiency behind a balanced rotation, whereas Indiana has struggled to string together consistent performances on either end of the floor. Before tip-off from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, continue reading to get my Trail Blazers vs Pacers prediction in the NBA.
Indiana enters this contest in poor form, having dropped 14 straight games, including a lopsided defeat in their most recent outing against the New York Knicks. Defensive lapses and roster absences have played a major role, with the team allowing high point totals regularly. Their inability to control the glass and limit second-chance opportunities has been a recurring issue.
Portland, meanwhile, is coming off a convincing road win over Brooklyn and has split its last few games. The emergence of young contributors and improved scoring efficiency has helped stabilize the offense in the absence of Damian Lillard. The Trail Blazers also dominated the previous meeting between these teams on March 8, winning by 20 points.

Portland enters this game with the more stable rotation and far better recent results. Their ability to score efficiently, combined with Indiana’s defensive struggles, gives them a clear edge. The previous 20-point win in this matchup highlights the gap between these teams, especially in rebounding and interior scoring. However, I'm taking the Pacers at home in this matchup, as they will be desperate to avoid a 15th straight loss and I'm not prepared to lay double-digits with a Blazers team that has been so inconsistent lately.
