The New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks will meet in the NBA on Friday night in an important Eastern Conference contest. New York is in third place in the Eastern Conference standings and will try to rebound from a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this week, while the Bucks are in 11th place in the conference standings and will be desperate to get a win in this matchup. Here, I break down this matchup in the NBA and make my Knicks vs Bucks prediction, as both teams look for a key victory at Fiserv Forum.

Key Storylines
- New York is trying to bounce back after a loss in their last game and reclaim the defensive efficiency that has been a strength for most of the season after they were torched by the Cavs.
- Milwaukee has surged recently with a strong stretch of games despite missing Giannis Antetokounmpo, but the absence of their top star continues to affect their offensive and defensive continuity.
- Both teams have familiarity with each other from earlier in the season, with their season series being evenly-matched thus far.
Key Players
New York Knicks
- Jalen Brunson: Leads New York’s scoring at approximately 26.7 points per game with 6.1 assists and is the primary playmaker on offense. Brunson’s ability to create shots and generate offense late in games will be pivotal in what could be a close one.
- Karl-Anthony Towns: Anchoring the Knicks with both scoring and rebounding with about 20.0 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, Towns provides interior and perimeter scoring and helps stabilize New York’s offense more often than not.
- OG Anunoby: A significant secondary scorer and perimeter defender, averaging around 16.0 points per game. His performance will be key for spacing the floor against Milwaukee’s defense.
Milwaukee Bucks
- Kevin Porter Jr.: Leads the Bucks in both scoring and assists with about 18.2 points and 7.6 assists per game. Without Giannis, Porter’s creation is critical to Milwaukee’s offense.
- Ryan Rollins: Having a breakout year with roughly 17.2 points and 5.4 assists, he has provided scoring punch and secondary playmaking.
- Kyle Kuzma: Has been a consistent scorer, contributing around 17 points per game, and adds valuable shooting for Milwaukee’s rotation.

Final Thoughts
The Knicks should be able to get the win in this contest on the road. But I'm going to take the points with the Bucks on their home floor. New York has a .500 record away from home this season and they have been far less convincing there than they have been at Madison Square Garden. Expect that trend to continue and for the Bucks to cover the number as a home dog.
