Thursday night’s NBA slate features a fun inter-conference showdown as the New York Knicks visit the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. The Knicks enter this game with a superior overall record, but New York has to overcome being on the road and playing for the second straight night. Can the Knicks overcome their adversity to beat the Warriors? I attempt to answer that question here with my Knicks vs Warriors prediction.

Key Storylines
The Knicks are arriving in San Francisco off a disappointing loss in Sacramento, where they squandered a strong start and saw Jalen Brunson exit early with a right ankle injury. Brunson has been one of the league’s most consistent scorers this season at over 28 points per game, but his status for Thursday remains uncertain and he is currently listed as day-to-day due to the injury. Landry Shamet is also listed as day-to-day with a shoulder issue. The timing of Brunson’s injury can’t come at a worse time, as New York has dropped six of eight and is playing for the second straight night in this contest.
Golden State has hovered around the middle of the pack in the Western Conference with a 22-19 record and enters this one with a home record of 14-6. Stephen Curry is pacing the Warriors offensively at about 28 points per game with excellent three-point shooting and remains one of the toughest guards to contain in the league. Brother Seth Curry remains out with a thigh injury, which slightly dampens Golden State’s shooting depth, but Steve Kerr’s squad has still enjoyed plenty of offense with contributions from Jimmy Butler, Brandin Podziemski, and others. The Warriors have won three of their last four games and will try to add another win tonight.
