Confidence: 4/5
Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Memphis Grizzlies
- Date & Time: Monday, February 2, 2026, 7:30 PM ET
- Venue: FedExForum, Memphis, Tennessee
- Broadcast: Peacock
Key Storylines
- Availability Issues: Ja Morant remains out with an elbow issue, along with Santi Aldama, Scotty Pippen Jr., and John Konchar. Memphis has leaned on Jaren Jackson Jr. as the primary scorer, but JJJ is also questionable to compete in this contest. Cam Spencer has stepped into a lead-guard role for the Grizzlies in light of all their injuries.
- Minnesota status: Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle are both listed as questionable for this contest. Edwards is battling a back injury, while Randle is dealing with a thumb ailment. If one or both of those players are out for this game, they could have a much tougher time than they did against the Grizzlies on Saturday.
- Recent form: Minnesota is on a four-game winning streak going into this matchup, one that includes a double-digit win in Memphis in their last game. The Grizzlies have lost six straight games and they are in fourth place in the Southwest Division going into this matchup.
- The Timberwolves come into Monday night in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. But their grip on a top-six spot in the West is anything but secure. Minnesota is just one game ahead of seventh place in the standings and a win in this game would help to keep them in position to avoid the play-in tournament.

Final Thoughts
There are so many injury concerns to monitor going into this game that it is hard to feel confident in any team to get the win here. Instead, my best bet is the under in this matchup. We already know that Ja Morant is out for Memphis, while Jaren Jackson Jr. could join him on the bench. And with Edwards and Randle potentially missing this one for the Wolves, we could see both offenses struggle to get up and running in Memphis.
