The Miami Heat travel to Charlotte on Tuesday night for a Southeast Division matchup against the Hornets. Miami is enjoying strong recent form, while the Hornets return home aiming to build on a positive stretch in the Eastern Conference race. With both teams occupying play-in tournament spots going into Tuesday night, this Heat vs Hornets meeting is an important one on both sides.
Miami enters this game on a notable upswing, highlighted by a recent 7-game winning streak that included a win over Milwaukee. That streak was recently ended by the Orlando Magic, but it vaulted the Heat to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Heat have been generating offense at a high level, scoring as much as 150 points in recent outings while showcasing improved ball movement and efficiency. Their offensive production sits around 120.4 points per game, which places them among the more productive units in the league. Miami's recent form has made it one of the best NBA bets in the league over the last couple of weeks.
Charlotte, on the other hand, has quietly become one of the more competitive teams in the East since January. The Hornets are around the .500 mark and have played particularly well when their core lineup is healthy. Their three-point shooting remains a major strength, ranking near the top of the league in both makes and efficiency.
The Hornets had a two-game winning streak snapped in their last game, losing on the road to the San Antonio Spurs. There is no shame in losing to the Spurs in San Antonio, given how good they have been at home this season. But the Hornets will try to bounce back from that result all the same.

Miami’s current form stands out as the deciding factor. The Heat are scoring efficiently, sharing the ball at a high rate, and getting consistent production from multiple players. Even with injury concerns, their system has proven capable of sustaining output.
Charlotte’s perimeter shooting will keep them competitive, and playing at home gives them a real chance to stay within reach. Still, Miami’s edge in offensive consistency and head-to-head results suggests they are better equipped to close out this game. Expect a competitive contest, but one where the Heat pull away late and win as a slight underdog.
