Key Storylines
- Form and context: New York sits 34-19, fresh off a 111-89 road win at Boston behind 31 points and 8 assists from Jalen Brunson. Indiana is 13-40, having dropped four straight games. The Pacers have dealt with injuries all season and not even the All-Star level play of Pascal Siakam has helped them to overcome those injuries this year.
- Star production: Knicks leaders this season include Brunson at 27.1 points and 6.1 assists per game, and Karl-Anthony Towns at 11.9 rebounds. For Indiana, Siakam averages 23.6 points and 6.7 rebounds, while Andrew Nembhard dishes out 7.4 assists per game.
- Injuries: Tyrese Haliburton remains out long-term, leaving Indiana short on primary creation. Obi Toppin is out with a foot issue. New York recently played without OG Anunoby but still throttled Boston on Sunday. Anunoby is questionable for this game, while Mitchell Robinson and Deuce McBride are both out.
- Scheduling note: The Knicks face Philadelphia on Wednesday, so rotation management could be an important factor in this contest. That is also a concern for the Pacers, who play the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends
- Past meetings: The lone regular-season meeting so far this season was on December 18 in Indianapolis, where New York pulled out a 114-113 win. Indiana took last spring’s playoff series, but New York has improved metrics and a deeper rotation this season.

- Indiana holds a 26-27 record against the spread for the year.
- The under is 28-26 in Knicks games during the 2025-26 season.
- The under is 32-21 in games involving the Pacers this year.

Final Thoughts
New York’s edge begins with elite guard play, rebounding, and a proven home track record that has seen New York cover numbers consistently at MSG. Indiana can hang if Siakam gets downhill, Nembhard keeps turnovers low, and shooters like hit early threes, but road data and season-long efficiency suggest those ingredients are difficult to sustain for 48 minutes in this building. I’m laying the points with the Knicks here, as they should continue to dominate their competition at the world's most famous arena.
