Golden State visits Los Angeles for a primetime game in the NBA on Saturday night. The Lakers come into this game playing well, winners in three of their last four contests. The Warriors got a win in a wild comeback in their last outing and will try to build on that result despite a ton of roster issues. Here, I break down this contest in the Western Conference and make my Warriors vs Lakers prediction for Saturday night.
Our Warriors vs Lakers Pick
Pick: Lakers -2.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 1/5
Game Snapshot
- Teams: Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Lakers
- Date & Time: Saturday, February 7, 2026, 8:30 PM ET
- Venue: Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, California
- Broadcast: ABC
Key Storylines
- Recent form: Los Angeles has won three of its last four games after beating the 76ers at home in their last game. Golden State fell 113-94 to Philadelphia on February 3 and came back to beat Phoenix in their last outing on the road. But both teams are missing some key players going into this game, with Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Kristaps Porzingis out for the Warriors and Luka Doncic out for LA.
- Star power and usage: With Doncic out for the Lakers, the question will be who initiates their offense. Austin Reaves is back on the floor, which should help LA make up for the absence of Luka. LeBron James will also have to do more offensively, with the question being if he can do that at his advanced age.
- Team scoring baselines: Both teams are very similar in terms of their scoring averages on offense. But the Warriors have a slight edge on the defensive end of the floor. If the Lakers can close that gap, they could very well win this game on their home floor.
- Both teams enter this game on equal rest, with the Warriors and Lakers both having a day off before this primetime matchup.
- Playoff positioning: Entering the weekend, the Lakers are in fifth place in the Western Conference standings, while the Warriors are in eighth place. Both teams are looking for a win here, as they will try to get a win to help their chances of avoiding the play-in tournament.

- The Lakers are 28-22 to the over entering Saturday night's play.
Warriors vs Lakers Model Projection
Score Projection: Warriors 112 – Lakers 118
Win Probability: Warriors 39%, Lakers 61%
Final Thoughts
Two of the best offensive players in the history of the NBA are not going to play in this game, with Doncic and Curry both out of action for their respective teams. As a result, it's tough to feel all that confident in either side in this matchup. I'm going to lay the points with the Lakers here, but I don't feel as strongly about this game as I do many of the other options on the board.
