Key Storylines
- Denver remains a solid road squad with a better overall record this season, and they come in as a modest favorite on the spread despite several injuries and being on the second game of a back-to-back.
- Portland has been inconsistent, sitting just below the .500 mark, and will be without Damian Lillard and Shaedon Sharpe due to injury, but has potential contributors like Matisse Thybulle and Kris Murray listed as questionable.
- Portland has won four of its last five games entering the final stretch of their season and they hope the confidence from that run helps them to get a win here.
Key Players
Portland Trail Blazers
- Deni Avdija - The Blazers’ leading scorer this season, averaging around 25 points per game and providing playmaking and rebounding presence on both ends of the court.
- Donovan Clingan - The young center has shown rebounding prowess, with notable performances including a 20-rebound effort, anchoring Portland’s frontcourt.
- Jrue Holiday - A veteran presence and secondary creator for Portland, capable of facilitating the offense and contributing key assists.
Denver Nuggets
- Nikola Jokic - The MVP-level performer leads the Nuggets in scoring, rebounding, and assists, making him the central figure of Denver’s offense when available.
- Jamal Murray - A dynamic scorer and playmaker for Denver, Murray’s ability to hit key shots will be crucial on the road. He missed a game-tying free throw in Thursday's loss to the LA Clippers and Murray will try to bounce back from that demoralizing miss in this game.

Final Thoughts
With equal rest, the Denver Nuggets would likely have the upper hand in a game like this. But with the Nuggets playing for the second straight night here, I think that the Trail Blazers could very well win this game outright as an underdog. I'll take the points with the Trail Blazers in this matchup from Rip City.
