Key Storylines
- Form and records: Chicago sits at 23-23 and took a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers at home in their most recent outing. Indiana is 11-36 and they dropped a game to the Atlanta Hawks in their last outing. The Pacers have won just eight of their 24 home games so far this season and they will try to get a victory in this matchup after losing four of their last five games overall.
- Leading scorers: Josh Giddey is the top scorer for the Bulls this season with 18.8 points per game and he recently returned from injury for Chicago. Pascal Siakam leads Indiana at 23.8 points and 7.0 rebounds with shot creation skills in the mid-post and in transition.
- Playmaking hub: Josh Giddey has operated as Chicago’s primary initiator with nearly 9 assists per night this season. Indiana's Andrew Nembhard leads Indiana at 7.4 assists per game, keeping their half-court offense organized.
- Chicago averages 14.6 made threes at 36.9%, both top 10 figures in the league, compared with Indiana’s 12.5 made threes at 34.2%. That perimeter gap could help the Bulls to get a win on the road in this matchup.
- Frontcourt battle: Nikola Vucevic’s size and touch inside meet Siakam’s face-up scoring skills. Secondary rim protection favors Indiana through Jay Huff’s shot blocking, but Chicago owns a small rebounding edge on average at 45.2 to 43.0.
- Availability watch: For Chicago, Tre Jones remains out with a hamstring issue and Zach Collins is sidelined with a toe injury. For Indiana, Bennedict Mathurin has been listed out with a thumb issue, Obi Toppin has missed time with a foot issue, and Tyrese Haliburton is listed out for the season.

Final Thoughts
The Pacers have had the upper hand against the Bulls through the first half of their season series. But the Bulls should be able to turn things around in this contest against Indiana. I'll lay the 2.5 points with the Bulls, with the return of Josh Giddey helping Chicago to operate more effectively on the offensive end of the floor.
