Boston Celtics vs Washington Wizards Prediction - 12/4/2025
Updated December 3, 2025
Updated December 3, 2025
The Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards have had two very different starts to their seasons. Boston has been respectable despite some key injuries, while Washington has struggled and looks like one of the worst teams in the NBA once again. Before they play one another in Washington on Thursday night, you can find my Celtics vs Wizards prediction right here.

The Celtics have put things together nicely of late despite all of the injury issues they are dealing with. Boston has won 4 of its last 5 games and 7 of its last 10. They most recently beat the New York Knicks at home, with Jaylen Brown having a huge game to deliver the win. On the other hand, the Wizards remain in a rebuilding phase with a 3-17 record so far this season. Washington is 2-2 in its last 4 games, but they could struggle here against a solid Celtics squad.
Bettors should keep an eye on the health situation in this game before locking in their bets. Jayson Tatum is out for the season for the Celtics and Jaylen Brown is questionable to play for Boston as well. The Wizards are set to be without Alex Sarr, Bilal Coulibaly, and Corey Kispert and will have to make up for those losses.
Boston has rarely looked past games like this one. They often treat contests against rebuilding franchises as must-wins. But that might not be enough for the Celtics if Jaylen Brown is ruled out and Boston is forced to rely even more on its bench unit.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Derrick White | Over 21.5 points |
Payton Pritchard | Over 21.5 points |
Neemias Queta | Under 9.5 rebounds |
Score Projection: Boston 114 – Washington 101
Win Probability: Boston 78%, Washington 22%
I would like to remind bettors that they should wait to see if Jaylen Brown is going to play before placing any bets on this game. If Brown is out, Washington could very well win outright, while the Wizards would face a steep uphill climb if they were without both Tatum and Brown. I'll lay the points with the Celtics for now, but the Celtics could look very different on offense if they are without Brown for this Eastern Conference matchup.
