Haas joined Formula 1 in 2016 and became the first American constructor to enter the championship in decades. The team operates from multiple locations including its headquarters in Kannapolis in the United States and its European base in Banbury in the United Kingdom.
Unlike many rivals, Haas runs a lean operational model that relies heavily on technical partnerships and efficient resource use. The team has focused on improving consistency and reliability while competing within the tightly packed midfield.
Haas enters the 2026 season with a driver lineup that blends experience with emerging talent. Esteban Ocon brings several seasons of Formula 1 experience, while Oliver Bearman continues his development after impressing during last season.
Haas has traditionally focused on maximizing efficiency within a smaller operational structure. The team often prioritizes mechanical stability and straightforward aerodynamic concepts rather than highly aggressive design approaches.
The car has typically performed best at circuits where strong braking performance and traction are important. Maintaining consistent race pace and improving qualifying performance remain ongoing development priorities.
Esteban Ocon provides experience and race management skills within the team. His ability to maintain consistent pace during long race stints often helps Haas maximize opportunities when strategy becomes important.
Oliver Bearman is one of the younger drivers on the grid and continues to gain experience at the Formula 1 level. His first season was impressive demonstrating strong adaptability and confidence under pressure, culminating in a 4th placed finish in Mexico.
Haas made a solid start to 2026 in Australia. With Bearman securing an impressive 7th place finish. If the team can improve consistency across qualifying and race pace, they could remain a regular contender for points finishes throughout the season as their rivals continue to develop.
Haas drivers can offer value in driver head to head markets against similar midfield teams, particularly when Esteban Ocon qualifies near the middle of the grid. His experience and race management often allow him to maintain position during longer stints.
Oliver Bearman has shown strong qualifying pace and confidence during his early Formula 1 appearances. His ability to extract performance over a single lap means Haas may occasionally start higher on the grid than expected, which can create opportunities in qualifying and head to head driver markets.
When Bearman qualifies well, Haas drivers can become more competitive in points finish or top ten markets, especially at circuits where overtaking is difficult and track position plays a larger role in race outcomes.
