Yousri Belgaroui meets Djorden Santos in a middleweight preliminary bout at Noche UFC on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Belgaroui enters as one of the card’s biggest favorites after consecutive UFC stoppage victories, while Santos is trying to rebound from his first career submission defeat. Belgaroui is a 6-foot-6 kickboxer with a 79-inch reach and extensive high-level striking experience, while Santos is the shorter, more well-rounded mixed martial artist who has shown he can compete through long, high-output fights. Polymarket has sided heavily with Belgaroui, but the question is whether the current price has gone too far.
Why Our Model Sees Value:
“Belgaroui’s size, distance striking, efficiency, durability, and ability to punish opponents late in fights create a matchup that is slightly more favorable than the current 87% market estimates.”
Where the Value Lies
Polymarket currently prices Belgaroui at 87¢, giving him an implied win probability of 87%, while Santos sits at 13¢. That is already an aggressive market assessment, but the value comes from the difference between the implied market probability and my projected probability. I make Belgaroui approximately 91% to win, leaving a 4% edge at the current price.
Belgaroui's Style Should Benefit Him
This prediction relies mainly on how difficult Santos' preferred striking game becomes against this particular opponent. Santos absorbs 6.35 significant strikes per minute while defending 49% of opposing significant strikes. Belgaroui has landed 318 of 495 recorded significant-strike attempts in his tracked UFC and Contender Series fights, a rate near 64%. He is also six inches taller and owns a 3.5-inch reach advantage.

Belgaroui has won five straight fights and has looked increasingly comfortable combining his kickboxing with the demands of MMA. His UFC debut against Azamat Bekoev in October 2025 showed why his frame is such a problem at middleweight. Belgaroui accumulated damage across the opening 10 minutes before stopping Bekoev just 55 seconds into Round 3.
He followed that performance by handing Mansur Abdul-Malik his first professional defeat on March 28, 2026. Belgaroui again produced a third-round stoppage, this time finishing with a knee at 3:39. Rather than forcing an early finish, he uses his reach to collect reads, attacks different levels, and becomes increasingly dangerous once an opponent's reactions slow down.
Belgaroui compiled a 27-13 professional kickboxing record, challenged for the Glory middleweight championship three times, and shared the ring with Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. He now trains with Pereira and Glover Teixeira. That experience helps explain why his striking appears far more polished than most relative newcomers in UFC.
Santos enters at 11-3 after losing to unbeaten Baisangur Susurkaev on May 9. Santos made that contest competitive for long periods and had success on the feet before Susurkaev secured a takedown late in Round 3, took the back, and finished with a rear-naked choke at 4:12. Santos landed 78 significant strikes in the fight while Susurkaev landed 107.
Before that defeat, Santos had beaten Danny Barlow by unanimous decision in October 2025. His UFC numbers paint the picture of an active striker. Santos lands 6.64 significant strikes per minute but absorbs 6.35, with 94% of his significant strikes coming from standing positions. He has attempted seven recorded takedowns and completed one, while his takedown defense stands at 85%.
Belgaroui is listed at 6-foot-6 with a 79-inch reach, while Santos is listed by UFC at 6-foot with a 75.5-inch reach. Santos normally generates offense through pressure and volume, but advancing against Belgaroui requires crossing a large amount of dangerous space.
Belgaroui is particularly effective once an opponent starts reaching for entries. His long straight shots force opponents to cover distance behind defensive reactions, and his knees make rushed entries dangerous. Santos has absorbed almost as many significant strikes per minute as he lands, which is acceptable against average opposition but risky against a striker with Belgaroui's accuracy and physical dimensions.
Santos is durable, experienced, and capable of making this competitive. His high output means Belgaroui cannot afford long stretches of inactivity. Still, the matchup favors the favorite in the areas where most of the fight is likely to occur.
Belgaroui has the superior distance game, the superior reach, greater finishing power, and a far better striking defense. His last two UFC victories also showed that he can remain dangerous deep into Round 3 rather than relying on an early knockout. Santos' best opportunity would involve sustained clinch work and takedowns, yet his recent statistics do not show enough wrestling volume to make that outcome likely. At 87¢, Belgaroui is expensive, but my 91% projection still leaves a 4% edge.
