The co-main event of UFC Vegas 114 on Saturday is a women’s strawweight bout between Amanda Lemos and Gillian Robertson at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Both fighters arrive with unique strengths that make this matchup interesting, on top of the fact that they are both ranked in the top 10 in their division. Lemos, a seasoned veteran with serious power, will look to disrupt Robertson’s rhythm and climb back toward title contention. Meanwhile, Robertson comes in with strong grappling and momentum from a four‑fight win streak and hopes to secure a finish that could put her in line for a championship opportunity.

|---|---|---|
Age | 38 | 30 |
Reach | 65" | 63" |
Stance | Southpaw | Orthodox |
Record | 15‑5‑1 | 16‑8 |
Amanda Lemos enters this fight with a wealth of experience in the strawweight division and a resume that includes battles against some of the top names in women’s MMA. Lemos has heavy hands and an aggressive approach in most of her UFC fights, earning respect for her ability to push pace and mix up her striking effectively. She holds a record of 15‑5‑1 and has faced top competition, although she’s experienced setbacks in recent outings, such as a loss to Tatiana Suarez by decision in her last fight. Lemos has the ability to hurt opponents quickly, and her striking makes her a dangerous threat if she can dictate where the fight takes place.
Gillian Robertson is known for her submission prowess and ground control. Robertson has won many of her fights via finish and holds the record for most submission victories by a woman in UFC history. She arrives at UFC Vegas 114 riding a four‑fight win streak and has steadily climbed the rankings thanks to her consistency and tenacity. At 16‑8, Robertson has proven that she can handle adversity and adapt mid‑fight, often pressing forward and looking to impose her grappling on opponents. A win over Lemos could be significant for her title aspirations in the strawweight division, and Robertson has openly suggested that a strong performance here would justify a crack at the belt.
The style contrast is a major theme in this matchup. Lemos thrives on striking exchanges and early pressure, while Robertson is most dangerous when the fight hits the mat. Robertson’s grappling could neutralize Lemos’ offense if she secures takedowns early and controls the pace of the fight. Lemos, however, could keep things standing long enough to land substantial strikes that could discourage Robertson’s level changes and takedown attempts. More than anything, conditioning and fight IQ will likely shape where this bout goes as the rounds progress.
Pick: Gillian Robertson via submission in Round 2 or 3 ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Amanda Lemos 41%, Gillian Robertson 59% ATS PRO
When analyzing this matchup, Robertson’s grappling strength and ability to finish fights makes her a very dangerous opponent for Lemos in my eyes. Robertson’s consistent work rate and ability to claim submissions threaten to derail Lemos’ plan if she can secure even a single takedown. Lemos has the striking power to keep Robertson honest and could win rounds if she stays disciplined and avoids extended ground exchanges. However, Robertson’s momentum, grappling acumen, and the slight favoritism in the odds make her the more likely victor. I'll take Robertson to win via submission.
