The Toronto Blue Jays open a road series against the Minnesota Twins on Thursday night in a meeting between two American League clubs trending in different directions. Toronto arrives after a convincing win over Boston and has taken 4 of its last 5 games, while Minnesota continues to search for stability after dropping 4 of its last 5 and struggling to generate consistent offense. With Kevin Gausman taking the ball against Bailey Ober, both teams in this Blue Jays vs Twins matchup will try to use their pitching to propel them to a victory.

Blue Jays vs Twins Model Projection
- Score Projection: Blue Jays 4 - Twins 3
- Win Probability: Blue Jays 54%, Twins 46%
My best bet for this contest is for the game to fall under the total of 8 runs. These teams are both sending strong starting pitchers to the mound, which should help keep things under the total when all is said and done. While there are some dangerous offensive weapons on both sides of this matchup, Gausman and Ober should keep them quiet for long enough for this game to fail to reach 8 runs scored.
