The midweek series finale between the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday brings together two teams trending in different directions. Los Angeles enters with one of the best records in baseball, while Miami continues to fight for consistency. Tuesday’s 2-1 Marlins win evened this series at a game apiece, as Los Angeles struggled to produce offensively despite strong pitching. And with both teams sending quality starting pitchers to the bump here, this Marlins vs Dodgers matchup could be another low-scoring affair.

- The Marlins snapped a three-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory behind strong pitching.
- The Los Angeles Dodgers still own a 20-10 record and one of the most productive offenses in baseball, despite losing at home on Tuesday.
- Miami remains under .500 at 14-16 and has struggled to generate consistent power, with just 21 home runs compared to LA's 45.
- Both starting pitchers come into this game with ERAs of 3.05 or lower, as this is set to be a defensive battle.

Marlins vs Dodgers Model Projection
- Score Projection: Miami Marlins 3 - Los Angeles Dodgers 4
- Win Probability: Miami Marlins 38%, Los Angeles Dodgers 62%
Tuesday’s low-scoring result has me confident that we will see another under between these teams on Wednesday afternoon. The Marlins and Dodgers both have superb starting pitchers on the bump for this contest. And with both teams struggling to generate consistent offense in this series so far, I'm expecting a quiet outing for both teams offensively here. Look for a game with somewhere around 7 total runs scored and for the under to cash for the second straight day at Dodger Stadium.
