In this contest, both teams will need to get enough from their starting pitchers to protect their bullpens. Key Storylines
- Houston enters with an 11-19 record and has dropped 3 of its last 4 games.
- Baltimore sits at 14-15 and has won 3 of its last 5 contests.
- The Baltimore Orioles won the first game in this series 5-3 behind timely hitting.
- This is the second game of a doubleheader, which will place a premium on pitching efficiency. With both bullpens likely to see some action in Game 1, this contest could come down to which team does the best job of saving bullpen arms for Game 2, or which starting pitcher can get deep into the game without giving up much damage.

Astros vs Orioles Game 2 Model Projection
- Score Projection: Astros 3 - Orioles 4
- Win Probability: Astros 43%, Orioles 57%
Baltimore should have the edge in this contest, given Brandon Young’s early success and Houston’s pitching woes. McCullers has struggled, and he should continue to do so, even if he performs better than his numbers to this point in the season.
Doubleheaders often create unpredictable pitching usage, especially in Game 2, where bullpens are stretched. That scenario favors the deeper team, and Baltimore has been that thus far. I'll take the Orioles to pick up the win in Game 2 against an Astros team that is 3-11 on the road for the year.
