Chicago White Sox vs Detroit Tigers Prediction, Preview & Same Game Parlay - 6/19/2026

The Chicago White Sox open a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Friday night at Comerica Park. Chicago enters the series after a confidence-building victory over the New York Yankees, while Detroit returns home looking to halt a difficult stretch that has seen the club drop several series during June. The pitching matchup features veteran right-hander Erick Fedde for Chicago against Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, giving bettors one of the biggest starting pitching edges on Friday's MLB card.
Skubal remains the biggest difference-maker in this game. The left-hander carries a 2.81 ERA and continues to miss bats at an elite rate. While Detroit has struggled overall this season, Skubal has consistently given the club a chance to win whenever he takes the mound. Chicago has been one of baseball's better surprises and remains in the AL Central race, but facing a frontline starter on the road is a difficult assignment.
Fedde has been used in several different roles this season and has generally performed better against weaker lineups. Detroit's offense has underachieved relative to expectations, though hitters such as Riley Greene and Kevin McGonigle have provided production. The White Sox lineup has received strong seasons from Miguel Vargas and Andrew Benintendi, but Skubal's ability to limit hard contact gives Detroit a favorable path to victory.
Parlay Odds: +270
The foundation of this parlay is Skubal. He owns one of the strongest strikeout rates in the American League and draws a White Sox lineup that can be vulnerable against quality left-handed pitching. Detroit's moneyline is included because Skubal gives the Tigers a clear advantage on the mound.
The final leg is the under. Comerica Park suppresses home runs, and both starters are capable of generating weak contact. If Skubal works deep into the game, Detroit can control the contest and keep scoring limited.
Riley Greene to Hit a Home Run +417
Greene remains Detroit's most dangerous power threat and owns some of the club's strongest contact metrics. Fedde has allowed occasional damage against left-handed hitters, and Greene's ability to drive the ball to all fields makes him a strong candidate to leave the yard. At roughly 4-to-1 odds, the price offers attractive value.

Chicago has been the better offensive club this season, ranking ahead of Detroit in most key hitting categories. The Tigers counter with the stronger frontline pitching, and that edge is magnified with Skubal taking the ball in the opener. While the White Sox have exceeded expectations through the first half of the season, this is a difficult spot against one of the American League's premier starters.
Detroit's offense does not need a huge night to win this game. A handful of timely hits against Fedde should be enough if Skubal performs near his usual level. The White Sox are capable of keeping the game competitive, but the combination of home-field advantage and a major pitching advantage makes Detroit the preferred side in my eyes.
