The Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees will square off on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees carry momentum after a resounding 8–4 win over Baltimore the night before, as the Yankees enter the day in a tie with the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL East standings. Before these division rivals battle in the Bronx, continue reading to get my Orioles vs Yankees prediction for Saturday's game.
Tomoyuki Sugano will get the start for the Orioles today. He enters this contest at 10-9 on the season and has a 4.54 ERA. Sugano has not generated many strikeouts this year. That has led to a lot of contact from opposing hitters and has been a big reason for his 30 home runs allowed on the year.
Cam Schlittler will take the hill for the Yankees in this important matchup for them. Schlittler is 3-3 on the season and has a very respectable 3.27 ERA. His strikeout rate is over one per inning and he is allowing under a hit per inning. The Yankees have a promising young arm in Schlittler to look forward to developing.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Aaron Judge | Over 0.5 HR |
Giancarlo Stanton | Over 0.5 HR |
Gunnar Henderson | Over 1.5 Total Bases |
Score Projection: Baltimore 3 – New York 5
Win Probability: Orioles 35%, Yankees 65%
I don't see the Yankees having any problems getting the win in this game on Saturday afternoon. New York has something to play for at the end of the season and they have more than enough offensive talent to cover the runline. I'll go with the Yankees to win this matchup by two runs or more, as they should keep the pressure on the Blue Jays to perform later in the day against the Tampa Bay Rays.
