New York has surged to the top of the American League with a 23-11 record, while Baltimore sits below .500 at 15-19. The Yankees just delivered a convincing 11-3 win in the previous meeting and have now won 13 of their last 15 games. Orioles vs Yankees Model Projection
- Score Projection: Orioles 3 - Yankees 6
- Win Probability: Orioles 35%, Yankees 65%
The numbers point strongly toward New York controlling this game. The pitching gap is significant, with Cam Schlittler delivering elite results through the early part of the season, including a 0.74 WHIP. On the other side, Shane Baz has been serviceable but vulnerable, particularly against power-hitting lineups like the Yankees. That difference becomes even more important given New York leads the league in home runs and slugging. I'll go with New York to win this game and cover the runline at home to complete a four-game sweep of the Orioles.
