Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction: LA Looks For Second Straight Win Over Atlanta

Two National League heavyweights meet Saturday night again in Los Angeles after the Dodgers opened their series with the Atlanta Braves with a 3-1 win on Friday. Atlanta still enters the matchup with one of the best records in baseball at 26-13, while Los Angeles sits at 24-14 and continues to battle through injuries in both the rotation and lineup. The pitching matchup for this game garners major attention with Spencer Strider expected to start for Atlanta against Blake Snell for Los Angeles. Here, I make my Braves vs Dodgers prediction in the betting markets.
Strider’s season numbers look rough because of limited innings after returning from injury, but his strikeout ability still gives the Atlanta Braves a major edge whenever he takes the mound. In his most recent outing at Colorado, he struck out 6 hitters despite some command trouble. His fastball velocity looked strong, which is a key sign moving forward. If he settles in early, Atlanta has the bullpen depth to close the game.
Blake Snell is making his first start of the 2026 season for the Dodgers in this game. Snell is another pitcher who is capable of racking up strikeouts in bunches, but it will be interesting to see how he performs in his first competitive action in 2026 here.
Los Angeles almost always has the edge with hitters like Ohtani and Freeman in the lineup, especially at home. And with Spencer Strider off to a rough start this season, I expect those bats for the Dodgers to have a good night on Saturday night. I'll lay the runline with the Dodgers here, as they should make it two straight over Atlanta in this weekend series.
