Author’s Quick Take on the Boom Fantasy App
After listening to feedback from current users and testing the app out for ourselves, we can confidently say that Boom Fantasy is a solid and reliable option in the fast-growing world of daily fantasy sports.
I am a huge fan of the way they break up their Pick’em contests into three different categories (Toss-Ups, Favorites, and Longshots), allowing players to customize their DFS experience based on risk tolerance and the amount of confidence they have in their selections.
Plus, the new Pick & Spin contest format, which offers a potential payout of up to 500x your entry fee, is very unique and something I have never seen before. A user-friendly mobile app, real-time game updates, and quick withdrawals are just a few other reasons our team here at ATS.io is a fan of the app.
However, if you live in a state where Boom Fantasy is not yet available or you’re just interested in seeing what other options are out there, then we encourage you to take a look at our list of the best DFS apps in 2024. Here you’ll find plenty of other great options to explore!

Boom Fantasy Promo Code & Bonus – Rating 4/5
One thing I really like about the Boom Fantasy Sports app is the generous welcome offer they provide to all new players. When you sign up today and make your first deposit, you’ll automatically receive a no-sweat first entry of up to $100.
Boom Fantasy | Bonus & Information |
🎁 Welcome Offer: | No Sweat First Entry Up to $100 |
🎀 Promo Code: | None Needed |
🌎 Available States: | 24 of 50 U.S. States (See List Below) |
✅ Last Verified: | December 2024 |
What exactly is a no-sweat first entry? Well, it means that if your first entry (into any Boom Fantasy Contest of your choice) happens to lose, you’ll automatically get another entry worth the same value, up to $100, credited back to your account.
I tested the promotion out for myself and found that it was 100% legitimate. In fact, after my first entry came up a bit short, the No-Sweat Entry promo had my back and gave me an opportunity to redeem myself.
Banking Options – Rating 3/5
When it comes to banking on the Boom Fantasy app, you’ll have several convenient and secure methods for depositing and withdrawing funds. Let’s take a quick look at which options are currently available:
Deposits
Boom Fantasy makes it easy to deposit funds into your account using debit/credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, as well as PayPal. Deposits are processed instantly, so the funds are available right away for you to use. This quick and straightforward process means you can start playing fantasy sports without any delays.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals on Boom Fantasy are simple and flexible. You can withdraw funds using the same options as deposits: debit/credit cards or PayPal. If your withdrawal is less than your initial deposit, it goes back to the original deposit method.
But if you’re withdrawing more, you can choose to send the excess funds to your bank account or PayPal. Although withdrawals have been said to take 1-3 business days, many have reported even quicker times. In my own experience, I received my full payout via PayPal in under 24 hours, on the same day I requested it!
Mobile App & User Experience – Rating 4/5
Boom Fantasy currently provides a dedicated mobile app for both iOS and Android users. Let’s take a closer look at where you can find everything and what you should expect:
The app features four main tabs located at the bottom for easy navigation.
First, the “Lobby” tab serves as the central hub where users can make picks, build entries, and enter contests. Meanwhile, the “My Contests” tab allows users to conveniently view their open and settled contest entries, ensuring transparency and control over their participation.
For those interested in seeing recent successes, the “Recent Wins” tab offers insight into other players’ victories, fostering a sense of community within the app. Additionally, the “More” tab is where you’ll find other important features such as deposit options, transaction history, customer support access, and account details.
Overall, the app is very user-friendly and easy to use; however, I did find that its design was a bit outdated compared to DFS Pick’em apps on the market today. Nevertheless, the app’s functionality and convenience make it a solid choice for players at home or on the go.

Boom Fantasy Games & Contests – Rating 4/5
The Boom Fantasy Sports app is centered around two different types of picks you can make involving player props and statistical projections:
- Over/Under: With “Over/Under” at Boom Fantasy, you’ll predict whether an individual player’s performance will exceed or fall short of their projected statistic total, like points scored or rebounds grabbed.
- Matchups: On the other hand, in the “Matchups” category, you’ll choose between two players and predict which one will perform better in a particular statistical category. This format allows for direct player-to-player comparisons and gives you another way to put your unique insights to use.
You’ll then build an entry with between 2 and 5 players using over/under or matchup questions. And if all of your picks are correct, then you’ll receive a payout based on the number of players included in your lineup (more players = more winnings) and which game format you chose to play (more on that below).
Classic Pick’em
Boom Fantasy’s Classic Pick’em contests have three fixed payout structures based on the level of risk you want to take:
- Pick’em Toss-Ups: Toss-Ups require you to make pick over/under or answer matchup questions where the odds are relatively even. These contests offer moderate payouts for correct predictions. For example, two correct picks will give you a 3x payout.
- Pick’em Longshots: With Longshots, you can only take the over on a player’s projected statistic, and the line will be inflated to reflect the greater risk involved. These contests offer potentially higher payouts for successful picks due to the increased difficulty of predicting outcomes. For example, two correct picks will offer a 10x payout.
- Pick’em Favorites: Lastly, Favorites are tailored to risk-averse players. They also require you to take a player’s over; however, the line is very conservative, meaning you’ll have a pretty good shot at hitting it. These contests offer lower payouts compared to Toss-Ups and Longshots but provide a higher probability of success. For instance, two correct picks will give you just a 1.3x payout on your entry fee.
Pick & Spin
The Boom Fantasy app now offers “Pick & Spin” contests as well. Here’s how it works:
You’ll need to build an entry with two players using over/under or matchup questions. The projected stat totals will be the same as what you’d get for Pick’em Toss-Ups. Once you’ve made your selections, you’ll choose your entry amount and spin a wheel that will determine your potential payout.
The payout can range anywhere from 2x-500x, meaning you’ll have a chance to win up to 500 times the amount of your entry fee if both of the two picks are correct.
I personally really enjoy this new game format, as it adds an exciting twist to traditional Pick’em contests and is truly unlike any other fantasy sports game out there.
Sports Coverage & Betting Options – Rating 3/5
The Boom Fantasy app covers all of the most popular American sports leagues like the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, college basketball, and college football. Plus, the platform allows you to build selections with players from international soccer leagues like the UCL and EPL.
However, less mainstream options like MMA, tennis, golf, and esports are not yet available. That said, it’s certainly possible Boom Fantasy will look to expand its offerings in the not-so-distant future.
Furthermore, when it comes to player props available for the sports they do cover, Boom Fantasy does a decent job. For example, when I opened up the app today and looked at the options for NBA players, here’s what I found:
- Points
- Rebounds
- Assists
- Points + Rebounds + Assists
- Turnovers
- Blocks
- Steals
- Steals + Blocks
- 3-Pointers Made
However, it’s important to note that the number of props available varied significantly from player to player. For example, some athletes had all of the options listed above available for the day’s slate.
Meanwhile, many others had just a few choices offered (e.g., points, rebounds, and assists), and some notable players were completely missing from the list.
Although we here at ATS.io understand that lines can go up and down all day as a result of injury updates and other relevant news, it still seemed pretty clear that Boom Fantasy’s betting options aren’t as comprehensive as what you’d find on some of the other popular DFS Pick’em apps.
Safety, Security, & Fairness at Boom Fantasy – Rating 5/5
In my experience with daily fantasy sports sites and apps, there are no factors more important than safety, security, and fairness. Fortunately, Boom Fantasy excels in all three aspects, earning a solid 5 out of 5 rating in my book. Allow me to explain why by answering some of the most important questions:

Yes, Boom Fantasy is legitimate. It’s a popular sports prediction app where users engage in Fantasy Pick’em games focused on player props. Customer Service & Support – Rating 5/5
Boom Fantasy offers comprehensive customer service and support options to assist users with any inquiries or issues they may encounter. With live chat and email support available from 9 am to 12 am ET, users can quickly reach out to a representative for assistance during most of the day.
Additionally, the help center and FAQ page are accessible 24/7, providing users with self-service options to find answers to common questions at any time.
For this review, I personally tried out their live chat support to see how helpful they were. They got back to me very quickly (within 2-3 minutes) and answered all my questions nicely. Considering their helpfulness and the variety of support options available, I’d rate Boom Fantasy’s customer service as a perfect 5 out of 5.
Responsible Gaming Measures
Furthermore, Boom Fantasy prioritizes responsible gaming by providing various measures to help users manage their gaming habits. They offer monthly deposit limits, entry fee limits, and contest entry limits, allowing users to set boundaries on their spending and participation.
Additionally, users can opt for self-exclusion options ranging from 1 to 3 years if they feel the need to take a break from gaming. These measures promote a safe and balanced gaming environment, reflecting Boom Fantasy’s commitment to the well-being of its users.
How Does Boom Fantasy Compare to Other DFS Apps?
Now that you’ve learned all about Boom Fantasy and what it has to offer, are you wondering how it stacks up against the competition? Well, let’s find out!
First, when comparing Boom with PrizePicks, I think it’s clear that PrizePicks has an edge with its wide range of player prop options across just about every sport and league you can imagine. However, Boom stands out with its unique Pick & Spin game format, offering users a different and exciting experience.
Moving on to Underdog Fantasy, while Underdog provides an advantage with its insurance option for Pick’em contests, ensuring users still receive a payout even if they make a wrong selection, Boom distinguishes itself with exceptional customer service and support, which is praised by many users.
Lastly, OwnersBox seems to cater more to traditional DFS players, allowing them to compete against others and draft weekly teams, an option not currently available on Boom Fantasy. Despite this, Boom remains a top choice for users seeking different types of Pick’em contests where you compete against the house instead of your fellow fans.
Final Thoughts: Is the Boom Fantasy App Worth Your Time?
After our team’s thorough review and analysis, we can confidently say that Boom Fantasy is a solid and reliable option for DFS players all over the United States.
While we’d like to see them update their mobile app with a more modern look and also add some more prop markets to their selection, it’s pretty clear that the pros far outweigh the cons.
Excellent customer service, an enticing welcome offer for all new users, and the unique Pick & Spin game format are just a few of the main reasons why Boom Fantasy may be worth your time.
