This rivalry meeting for the Big East title features two teams with contrasting styles that have already produced wildly different results this season. St. John’s thrives on interior scoring and physical play, while UConn relies on disciplined offense and strong perimeter shooting. The deciding factor could be how well UConn contains Ejiofor in the paint.
UConn’s balanced attack and defensive ceiling give the Huskies a slight edge in my book, even in a virtual home game for St. John's. When the Huskies control the glass and limit second-chance points, they become extremely difficult to beat. I think UConn figured the Johnnies out in their last meeting and will lay the points with the Huskies as a result.
