The Big Ten schedule continues to deliver intriguing college basketball matchups on Tuesday night with the UCLA Bruins visiting the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing. Both teams took losses in their last two games, with UCLA getting blown out by Michigan and Michigan State losing to Wisconsin in a landslide. Who will bounce back from their most recent defeat in this contest? I attempt to answer that question here, as I make my UCLA vs Michigan State prediction.
Our UCLA vs Michigan State Pick

Confidence: 4 out of 5

Key Storylines
- Michigan State has been solid at home this season, owning a 12-2 home record and averaging nearly 79 points per game while controlling the glass against conference opponents.
- UCLA’s recent matchup against Michigan ended in a 30-point defeat, highlighting offensive inconsistency against top competition and elevated concerns about bench scoring. There's no shame in losing to Michigan, who is ranked number one in the country. Now it is up to the Bruins to try and bounce back here.
- UCLA’s Tyler Bilodeau and Trent Perry have been key scorers, but facing a physical Spartans frontcourt that excels at rebounding and pace could limit their scoring opportunities.
- Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears Jr. has been a pivotal playmaker, averaging 9.2 assists per game, while Coen Carr provides efficient scoring that keeps the Spartan offense balanced.
- Donovan Dent's ball distribution will be huge for UCLA if they want to hang around in this game. Dent is averaging 7 assists per game for the Bruins this season and the New Mexico transfer will be tasked with breaking down a good Michigan State defense tonight.

Final Thoughts
I'm going to lay the points with Michigan State in this contest on their home floor against UCLA. The Spartans were blown out on the road against Wisconsin last time out, but they are back home here and that should benefit them greatly as they try to get back into the win column. UCLA won't look as bad as it did against Michigan over the weekend, but this game won't be easy by any means for the Bruins either.
