On Wednesday night, the Texas Longhorns will travel to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats in an intriguing Southeastern Conference contest that carries NCAA tournament implications for both teams. Texas enters this matchup sporting an 11‑7 overall record with a 2‑3 mark in SEC play, while Kentucky sits at 12‑6 overall and 3‑2 in league action. Both of these teams need wins in games like this one to help their tournament resumes looking forward. Before tip-off from Rupp Arena, keep reading to get my Texas vs Kentucky prediction.
Pick: | Kentucky -7.5 ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 3/5 |
Score Projection: Texas 75 – Kentucky 85 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Texas 25%, Kentucky 75% ATS PRO
Kentucky seems to be figuring things out lately, having won three games in a row. I expect them to continue their winning ways in this contest against a Texas team that is just 2-2 on the road so far this year. Kentucky's allowing 4.2 points per game less than Texas so far this season and the Wildcats' superior defense should make the difference again in this matchup in the SEC.
