The SEC Tournament continues Thursday night with a second-round game between Ole Miss and Georgia. Ole Miss enters this game off a win against Texas on Wednesday night, while this is Georgia's first game of the tournament after a first-round bye. Here, I break down Ole Miss vs Georgia and you will find my prediction for this SEC Tournament matchup below.
Pick: Over 156.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 3 out of 5
Georgia enters this tournament game as one of the most explosive offensive teams in college basketball. The Bulldogs have spent much of the season near the top nationally in scoring and frequently play at one of the fastest tempos in Division I. Their depth and pace create problems for opponents who struggle to keep up with the constant pressure.
Ole Miss, on the other hand, has leaned more on defensive stability. The Rebels have not produced the same offensive fireworks as Georgia, but they have remained competitive by limiting opponents and executing late in games. That approach worked earlier this season when they defeated Georgia in overtime.
The key question entering Thursday’s contest is whether Ole Miss can slow the pace again. If Georgia turns the game into an up-and-down contest, their offensive depth becomes a major advantage. With Ole Miss playing for the second night in a row, it could be even harder for their defense to find traction here.

Points allowed per game | 75.6 | 79.3 |
Team Field Goal % | 44% | 47% |

Score Projection: Ole Miss 82 – Georgia 90 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Ole Miss 40%, Georgia 60% ATS PRO
This game could look similar to the teams’ earlier meeting, which turned into a dramatic shootout. Georgia’s offensive production throughout the season makes them difficult to contain for a full 40 minutes, but their defense is so suspect that Ole Miss could hang around throughout this matchup. Instead of taking a side here, I'll go with the over in what should be a fun game to watch from Nashville.
