The ACC Tournament quarterfinals include an intriguing clash Thursday afternoon as Louisville faces Miami. The Hurricanes earned the No. 3 seed after a strong regular season, while Louisville enters as the No. 6 seed after finishing 22-9 overall and 11-7 in conference play. These teams met just days ago in Coral Gables, where Louisville escaped with a dramatic 92-89 victory after shooting more than 61% from the field. That result adds another layer of intrigue heading into this Louisville vs Miami rematch on a neutral floor in Charlotte.
Pick: Louisville +2.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 3 out of 5
Louisville enters the ACC Tournament riding the confidence of a recent victory over Miami. In that game, the Cardinals shot 61% from the floor and drilled 12 three-pointers to outlast the Hurricanes. Ryan Conwell led the way with 24 points, while J’Vonne Hadley added 16 and Isaac McKneely chipped in 15. The Cardinals showed their offensive ceiling in that performance, particularly when their perimeter shooters find rhythm. The Cardinals beat SMU on Wednesday and will try to win for a second straight day in Charlotte here.
Miami, meanwhile, finished the regular season 24-7 and secured a double bye into the quarterfinals. The Hurricanes rely on a balanced lineup that includes a productive backcourt and a strong interior presence. Despite the recent loss to Louisville, Miami has been excellent throughout the season and finished 13-5 in ACC play.
The quick turnaround between meetings could influence the flow of the game. Louisville has already proven it can score against Miami’s defense, but the Hurricanes now have a fresh opportunity to make adjustments. With both teams capable of pushing the pace and scoring efficiently, another game in the mid-80s or higher is very possible.

This ACC Tournament quarterfinal should be one of the most entertaining games on Thursday’s schedule. Miami enters with the better seed and a balanced lineup, but Louisville already proved it can break down the Hurricanes' defense. The Cardinals’ perimeter shooting and experienced roster give them a slight edge in a tight contest. I'll take the points with Louisville and wouldn't be surprised if they won this one outright.
