The Gonzaga Bulldogs and Arizona State Sun Devils will meet in a non-conference college basketball game on Friday night. Gonzaga travels to Tempe for their first road challenge of the season. Both teams are unbeaten early in the season, but the Zags are heavy favorites going into this matchup. Before tip-off from Tempe, continue reading to get my analysis for this game and for my Gonzaga vs Arizona State prediction.
Our Gonzaga vs Arizona State Pick
- Pick: Gonzaga −14.5
- Confidence: ★★★★☆
Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Gonzaga Bulldogs @ Arizona State Sun Devils
- Date & Time: Friday, November 14, 2025, 11:00 PM ET
- Venue: Desert Financial Arena, Tempe, Arizona
- Broadcast: ESPN2
Key Storylines
- Gonzaga enters off a dominant 90‑63 win over Creighton. They shot over 52% from the field and controlled the glass effectively. The Zags are 3‑0 and are showing both offensive firepower and defensive discipline with wins over Oklahoma and Creighton already.
- The Sun Devils are 2‑0, but their opponents have been easier assignments so far. Turning the corner for them is hosting a ranked opponent in front of a home crowd. Gonzaga will be a much tougher test for Arizona State than Southern Utah and Utah Tech were.
- Former ASU guard Adam Miller now plays for Gonzaga and returns to Tempe for this game. That will add some emotional fuel to the fire ahead of this game.
- Gonzaga’s star forward Graham Ike is averaging 17.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. He is shooting 57.9% from the field so far this season and will likely be a handful for the Sun Devils' frontcourt.
- On the ASU side, freshman center Massamba Diop is averaging 16.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game on 65.0% shooting. He has been a bright spot for the Sun Devils but he needs to avoid foul trouble against Ike to be effective here.
- Gonzaga’s first true road test of the year comes here. It will be interesting to see how they handle the environment in Arizona tonight.
Betting Trends
- Gonzaga is 3-0 against the spread entering Friday's action.
- Arizona State is 1-0-1 against the spread after two games.
- All three of Gonzaga's games this season have gone under their totals.
- The under has cashed in both of Arizona State's game as well.
Gonzaga vs Arizona State Model Projection
Score Projection: Gonzaga 87 – 71 Arizona State
Win Probability: Gonzaga 83%, Arizona State 17%
Final Thoughts
Gonzaga has looked like one of the most dominant teams in college basketball early in the season. The Zags will have to contend with playing on the road tonight, but I think they will be able to overcome that against an inexperienced Sun Devils team. Ike should be able to get what he wants at the rim against the younger Diop. I'll lay the points with Gonzaga in this game late on Friday night.
