Key Storylines
- Duke’s defense is traveling. The Blue Devils allow 63.6 points per game, sitting in the top tier nationally in defensive rating. The Blue Devils have won 7 straight games away from home by controlling tempo and dominating the glass.
- UNC has protected home court flawlessly to date and rides a four‑game winning streak after beating Syracuse in their last outing. The Smith Center has been a real edge for the Tar Heels this season and they will try to get a statement win in this game as well.
- Headline duel: Cameron Boozer versus Caleb Wilson will be the matchup to watch in this game. Boozer leads Duke at 23.3 points and 9.9 boards per game. The winner of that matchup could end up winning their team this game.
- Duke leads the ACC standings at 10-0 in conference play this season, while North Carolina is a few games back at 6-3. A win for the Tar Heels would be a huge boon for several teams in this conference, while Duke could all but lock up the ACC regular-season title with a victory on the road here.

Final Thoughts
Duke’s defense, road record, and advantage with Cameron Boozer nudge this game toward the visitors despite UNC’s perfect home record so far. The Tar Heels have yet to face a team as good as Duke at home this season and I expect the Heels to stumble in their biggest test of the season to date. I'm going to lay the points with the Blue Devils in what could be the best game of the night in college basketball.
