Denver has hit a nice rhythm of late, winning 4 of its last 5 games and showing improved offensive balance. Carson Johnson has been a key contributor, scoring 23 points in the Pioneers’ recent win over South Dakota State, and he leads Denver with a steady scoring average of 19.6 points per game. Zane Nelson has also provided strong scoring support in recent contests. Omaha’s consistency at Baxter Arena has been a strength, but Denver will try to disrupt that to get a fourth win in a row.
The Mavericks are 8-4 at home, and Tony Osburn has been an important presence, averaging 13.1 points per game so far this season. Omaha defeated St. Thomas in a 98-94 thriller on Thursday, in a game where their offense was impressive, but their defense showed plenty of cracks.
Both teams are shooting well from beyond the arc and will look to use their perimeter attacks to break defensive pressure. The offensive pace and scoring ability of both teams make this one of the more intriguing Summit League clashes of the weekend.

This should be another evenly matched and high-scoring contest in the Summit League. I lean toward Omaha as the best choice to win and cover the spread on their home floor. The Mavericks are 8-4 at home so far this year. While Denver has won three straight games coming into this matchup, Omaha should be able to get the job done on their home floor in what should be a fun game to watch in Nebraska.
