The French Lick Resort Casino property is best known for its historic hotels, the French Lick Springs Hotel and West Baden Springs Hotel. The property is also home to two golf courses. The Hill Course was designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1920. The second course was designed by Indiana native Pete Dye and opened in 2009.

The casino at the French Lick Resort property opened in 2006. The property was designed as a riverboat and featured a small pond surrounding the space, as Indiana state law only permitted water-based casinos at the time. The French Lick Casino became the first land-based casino in the Hoosier State in 2008, as the moat was filled and the boat was converted to a land property.
