5 of the Weirdest Games I’ve Played at Social Casinos

I’ve played hundreds of games while testing social casinos over the last few years, and every once in a while, I come across one that makes me stop and wonder who came up with it.

And I’m not just talking about slots with weird themes. I’ve found games based on everything from Rock Paper Scissors to crossing a busy road as a chicken, along with a few that are probably better left unexplained until you see them for yourself.

So, I went back through some of the strangest games I’ve tried and picked five that stood out the most. Some were actually pretty fun. Others just left me with a lot of questions. Anyway, here they are.

1. Rock Paper Scissors

I’ll start with one of the simpler games on this list. Rock Paper Scissors is a Stake Original you can play at Stake.us that takes the game pretty much everyone played as a kid and somehow turns it into a casino game.

It works about how you’d expect. You pick rock, paper, or scissors and go up against a randomly generated computer pick. If you win, you can take your prize or keep going, with the multiplier increasing after each win.

The game has a 98% RTP and a max win of 1,027,604.48x, although you’d need a pretty ridiculous streak to ever get close to that.

The gameplay itself isn’t all that weird, but the idea definitely is. I never thought a game I played on the playground as a kid would eventually show up at a social casino with a million-times multiplier attached to it.

2. Trump It Bonanza X1000

Next up is Trump It Bonanza X1000, a slot from Fugaso that’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like: a Donald Trump-themed meme slot. You can find it at several top social casinos, including McLuck, Hello Millions, and LoneStar.

The game uses a 6x5 grid with cascading wins, so winning symbols disappear and new ones drop into their place. There are also free spins, mystery symbols, multipliers of up to 1,000x, and a max win of 40,000x.

But the gameplay isn’t really what makes this one stand out. It’s the theme. Trump is front and center throughout the game, surrounded by everything from stars and 777s to diamonds and other over-the-top casino imagery.

I’ve seen plenty of strange slot themes over the years, but playing one built entirely around a sitting U.S. president definitely caught me off guard.

3. Shave the Beard

Shave the Beard from Hacksaw Gaming is definitely one of the stranger scratchcards I’ve played. Instead of scratching off a normal ticket, you’re basically shaving a guy’s beard to reveal what’s underneath.

You can find the game at social casinos like Rolla, and it has a max multiplier of 50,000x. The whole thing takes place in a barbershop, with razors, shaving cream, trimmers, and plenty of facial hair worked into the game.

There’s really not much more to it, but that’s part of why I like this one. Scratching off a lottery ticket makes sense. Shaving a guy’s beard to see if you won? That’s definitely a new one for me.

4. Chicken Cross

There are actually a surprising number of chicken-crossing casino games out there now, but the concept will never not be weird to me. The one I’m focusing on here is Chicken Cross, a Yotta Original you can play at Yotta Casino.

The goal is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: get your chicken across a busy road without getting run over. You choose your play amount and difficulty, then decide one lane at a time whether you want to keep going. Each safe crossing increases your multiplier, and you can cash out whenever you want. Get hit by a car before you do, though, and you lose what you had built up. The game has a 95% RTP.

It’s basically the classic “Why did the chicken cross the road?” joke turned into a casino game. Somehow this has become its own little genre, and I’m still not quite sure how we got here.

5. Soaked by Seamen

And finally, we have Soaked by Seamen. Yes, that’s the actual name.

This Nolimit City slot is available at social casinos like Stake.us, where it’s also one of the more popular games I’ve come across. I have a feeling the name probably has something to do with that, but I’ll let you figure out the joke for yourself.

The game follows a group of sailors who have been shipwrecked on a deserted island, with a 4-reel setup and 225 ways to win. There’s actually a lot going on, too, including cascading wins, position multipliers, expanding Banana Wilds, bombs, free spins, and several bonus features. It has a 96.04% RTP and a max win of 30,000x.

Let’s be honest, though: the gameplay isn’t really why this game made my list. Between the name, the characters, and the endless double entendres worked into the theme, Soaked by Seamen is easily one of the strangest games I’ve played at a social casino.
