The concept is simple. If your first real money wager loses, BetRivers refunds the stake as a bonus bet, giving you another opportunity to win. The sportsbook requires a minimum deposit of $10 to activate the offer, making it an offer you can try, whether you want to bet a small first amount or if your budget allows you to place a bigger wager.
Claiming the BetRivers welcome offer when making your baseball betting picks takes only a few minutes. Follow these steps to activate the promotion and place your first wager:
The bonus bet can then be used on another sporting event, including upcoming World Baseball Classic games throughout the group stage. Many bettors prefer using this type of promotion on higher odds markets because it allows them to pursue larger payouts with reduced initial risk.
The first weekend of the 2026 World Baseball Classic features several high-profile matchups across multiple pools. The games below are the ones we have our eyes on the most intently:
Team USA begins its tournament against Brazil before returning to face Great Britain the following day. Venezuela and the Dominican Republic are also strong contenders in Pool D, making their early games important for standings and potential quarterfinal qualification.
After you've used the welcome bonus at BetRivers, there is an existing customer promo for this tournament that is also available. Bettors who wager $250 or more on the World Baseball Classic at BetRivers will receive two $25 bonus bets to use on MLB spring training action. This promotion can be opted into from the promos page within your BetRivers account, or on the home screen of the app. If you plan on betting on this tournament throughout the next couple of weeks, this is an easy way to find some added value.
Team USA enters the 2026 World Baseball Classic as one of the tournament favorites. The roster features elite Major League Baseball players, including captain Aaron Judge, along with strong pitching options such as Logan Webb, Tarik Skubal, Paul Skenes, and Nolan McLean.
The United States finished as runner-up in the 2023 tournament after losing the championship game to Japan. That result adds motivation for this year’s roster as they attempt to capture their second World Baseball Classic title.
However, several teams stand in their way. Japan remains a dominant force with Shohei Ohtani leading the lineup, while the Dominican Republic and Venezuela both feature deep rosters packed with Major League talent. In short international tournaments, even a single upset can shift the bracket dramatically.
