The women’s snowboard parallel giant slalom at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina is going to pit two riders against each other until only one athlete remains. With athletes arriving on the heels of a World Cup season that has seen established stars hang on to their elite status while up-and-comers have pushed into the spotlight, there are several contenders who could win this tournament-style event. Before the action begins in Italy, continue reading to get my women's PGS prediction.
The following list reflects the current betting odds for the women’s snowboard parallel giant slalom at the 2026 Winter Olympics. These lines are subject to change prior to the start of competition.
One of the biggest storylines heading into the parallel giant slalom is the presence of a clear favorite in Ester Ledecka. The Czech rider has proven her dominance in this discipline, with a run of strong results in recent World Cup races that includes a victory at the 2025 FIS Snowboard World Championships. Her blend of technical precision and aggression on the course makes her a tough rider for anyone to beat. Coming into the 2026 Games, she is not just a contender. She is the benchmark against which every other competitor is measured.
Another storyline to keep track of is the rise of young talent against seasoned veterans. Japan’s Miki Tsubaki has shown the ability to challenge the sport’s hierarchy, and her continued improvement this season has made her one of the more attractive bets outside of the favorite. Similarly, Germany’s Ramona Theresia Hofmeister has put in several consistent performances on the World Cup circuit, earning her respect as a likely medal threat.
Meanwhile, the host nation of Italy brings multiple riders into the field with realistic hopes of ending up on the podium. Lucia Dalmasso and Elisa Caffont have both delivered impressive results this season, with Dalmasso in particular posting multiple World Cup podiums and wins in the parallel giant slalom and parallel slalom formats. Their technical skill and familiarity with European snow conditions could serve them well in Cortina’s alpine terrain.
Pick: Ester Ledecka to win gold ATS PRO
Confidence: 4 out of 5
When examining the betting market alongside recent results from the 2025-26 season, Ledecka’s status as the preeminent talent in women’s parallel giant slalom is hard to ignore. She has shown the capacity to win outright and control races from start to finish, traits that translate well to Olympic competition. I am expecting Ledecka to come away with the gold medal here at the expense of the younger competition that will try to deny her Olympic gold.
