Torino vs Inter Prediction: Inter Seal Scudetto in Torino

Inter can clinch the Serie A title on Sunday at Torino, and the market has priced the occasion in at -275. My model agrees with Inter's favorites tag, but the value isn't on the moneyline. It's on the total. Lautaro is out, both teams have under 2.5 in four of their last five, and Torino's low block consistently suppresses volume against elite possession sides.
Prediction: Inter Milan win
Best Bet: Inter -1.5 -140
Projected Score: Torino 0, Inter 2
Quick take: Back Inter to seal the title, but don't chase a high-scoring game. This fixture profile points to a controlled 2-0 or 2-1, not a rout.

Inter have won on their last three trips to Turin, and demolished Toro 5-0 at San Siro earlier this season. Their away record against bottom-half sides is nine wins from ten. The title occasion adds motivation rather than nerves for a squad this experienced. Torino's defensive structure is good enough to keep it respectable, but their attacking output without Zapata is too thin to cause a major upset.
Inter under Cristian Chivu run a 3-5-2 that dominates possession through Calhanoglu's deep distribution and Barella's box-to-box runs, with Dimarco and Dumfries providing the width that consistently creates overloads in wide zones. Their PPDA sits around 8.4 over the last five, one of the most intense pressing profiles in Serie A, and their xGA of 0.95 per game is the division's best.
Torino under Roberto D'Aversa set up in a compact 3-5-2 of their own, sitting in a mid-block and looking to exploit transitions through Adams and Simeone. The problem is that their transition threat is blunted without Zapata's direct running, and Inter's back three, with Bastoni potentially returning, shuts down exactly the kind of central low crosses Torino rely on.
Expect Inter to control territory, work patient build-up through Zielinski and Barella, and find the decisive chance through Thuram's movement.
Torino are without Duvan Zapata (thigh), Zakaria Aboukhlal (injury), and Zannetos Savva (season-ending knee). Zapata's absence is potentially decisive. He's the only Torino forward capable of holding the ball under pressure and creating space for Simeone. Without him, D'Aversa's 3-5-2 becomes more passive, and Che Adams will need to do the defensive holding work that limits his threat going forward.
For Inter, Lautaro Martinez is again unlikely to feature despite being named in the travelling squad; the latest reports point to a return against on May 3, with the striker also having the World Cup on his mind. Bastoni is a doubt-to-return. His presence dramatically improves Inter's defensive line height and ball-playing quality out of the back. If he starts, the line goes here. Marcus Thuram and Francesco Pio Esposito lead the attack, with Calhanoglu pulling the strings in the pivot.

This is the match where Inter seal the Scudetto, and the squad knows it. Their away form against the lower half of the table is outstanding. Nine wins from ten, and the one draw came against a side that parked ten men behind the ball for 80 minutes. Torino without Zapata can hurt on the transition but can't sustain pressure. Inter -1.5 at -140 is the play. The total is a secondary angle: under 3.5 should land comfortably if you want something with more cushion.
Who is the favorite?
Inter Milan, around -275 on the moneyline. Torino are +675 and the draw is +400.
Can Inter win the title this weekend?
Yes. A win against Torino on Sunday would officially confirm Inter as 2025/26 Serie A champions regardless of other results.
Is Lautaro Martinez playing?
Almost certainly not. The latest reports point to a Parma return on May 3. Marcus Thuram and Francesco Pio Esposito lead the attack.
What is the best value bet?
Inter -1.5 at -140. Their away record against bottom-half Serie A sides makes the two-goal margin a reliable angle rather than a stretch.
Who manages Torino and Inter?
Roberto D'Aversa manages Torino, while Cristian Chivu manages Inter Milan.
What are the best player props?
Marcus Thuram Anytime Scorer at -115 is the strongest play with Lautaro absent. Giovanni Simeone Anytime Scorer at +280 is the best value if you want Torino representation in your bet builder.
